This baby (read: mommy) loves sweets!

Not sure what has become of me lately.  I was not into anything in particular throughout this pregnancy.  But the past week or so, I have been ALL about the sweets.  Chocolate (which I normally don't eat b/c of reflux), ice cream, pastries, etc.  yum!  I even had waffles for dinner last night b/c everything else sounded gross.  What is wrong withe me?!  I hope this is a phase b/c I think I will be really large by the end of this if it isn't.

    Do you know what team you're on? The old wives tale is that craving sweets = girl :) Not that you can hold any stock in those things, but they're fun to try for a laugh every now and then.

    FWIW- I was craving sweets like MAD for weeks, but now I think the baby is big enough that it's pushing my stomach out of the way and I just don't feel very hungry most of the time anymore.

    FWIW- I was craving sweets like MAD for weeks, but now I think the baby is big enough that it's pushing my stomach out of the way and I just don't feel very hungry most of the time anymore. 

    We are team green :)  With DS, I didn't have this much of a sweet tooth. I preferred salty foods.

    ugh i hear ya! I'm having a little girl, and all i have craved are sweet things and sugar. And soda!! its horrible. but so, so yummy...

    Yah, I'm with you too. I am also having a girl, but I DID have a sweet tooth before getting pregnant. Wink

    Oh, and milk! Yum!

    Add me to the club as well.  I was a 100% salty person before getting pregnant and now ALL I crave are sweets.  I eat ice cream just about every day.

    We are team pink, so I guess the old wives tale has proven true.

    wow, I'm having a boy and hadn't heard of this old wives tale.  Before pregnancy, I loved sweets and now I no zero desire for it. This is the first time in my life when I'm not craving sweets!

    I'm having a boy too and have been obssessed with sweet things! I never used to eat desserts before, but now I have to have one with every meal! I'm hoping this phase ends soon too before I get too big!!

    I'm having a boy.  Earlier in the pregnancy I was pretty into chips (Spicy Nacho Doritos), but now I'm all about the sweets.  I've always had a sweet tooth, now it's a little elevated.
    Stopped BCP 7/08 BFP 11/09 - Natural MC 12/09 PCOS 2/10 - Began taking Metformin Femara with trigger from 3/10-7/10 IUI#1 7/10 - BFN Taking a break while I work on my Masters... Now cycling on my own with Metformin. BFP 2/18/11!!! Lilypie First Birthday tickers

    i am having a boy and all i have been craving this entire pregnancy is sweets.  right now it is s'mores to be exact.....i have been craving them for a week. Embarrassed
