  Update: Last night I ate two cheese burgers and two orders of fries.  Yup.

  GTKY: Something positive not baby related is that this weekend I'm going to a fancy gala with my mom and Justin.  She has a table and invited us to come along.  My employer has a gala every year with dancing, an auction, and tasty food.  So I'm hoping there will be all of the above at this gala!! 

  ETA: Somehow I missed that we're supposed to do THREE things... whoops.

  1. Gala on Saturday!

  2. Even though I ate two cheese burgers and two orders of fries, I was hanging out with some really good friends we don't see very often.  I had a ton of fun with them.

  3. I have lots of friends and family coming in town over labor day weekend.  I'm very excited to see all of them!!

  The meds seem to be working and I am feeling better. FX that this means I am on the mend and we can get back to TTC soon!

  GTKY: Three positive things.... 1) My husband is bringing home some delicious pulled pork sandwiches for supper tonight, 2) our puppy is starting to be a bit more well behaved, and 3) our friends we met in the hospital for our first D&C are coming over for dinner on Saturday.  There, I did it.

  Update:  I am doing good, counting down the minutes till my first appointment on Monday!  I hate that this entire process has so much waiting involved, it's like we never catch a break. 

   

  GTKY: Three positive things:

  1. We bought a new treadmill last weekend and I am LOVING it.  I will have no excuses when the weather turns cold and it gets darker earlier to not get my walking in!

  2. Tomorrow is Friday!!!!!

  3.  My boss just brought in coffee cake from Starbucks and I am stoked!  (And this is why I need the treadmill )

  I'm having a bit of a rough week.  SIL is in active labor right now with my first nephew, so I've pretty much been dealing with the "I should be almost there" feelings.  I am, however, very happy to finally be an auntie and can't wait to meet the little guy.  Just a little bittersweet.

  QOTD:  DH's friend invited us to her company outing at an amusement park this weekend, so we are taking the boys.  We were able to get extra discounted tickets for a few other friends of ours and their kids.  The boys are usually at their mom's on weekends (we have full custody) so we are all looking forward to another family weekend together.

  GTKY:

  1) I ran for 20 straight minutes this morning!  Yay Couch to 5k!

  2) My RE meeting yesterday went really well and he told me EXACTLY what I wanted him to in terms of a plan.

  3) I have an interview in a few hours for an extra duty at work which would be a nice supplement to our income.

  Mom to Eliott Alexander, born sleeping at 37 weeks on 8/13/10. Most of us only dream of angels - I held one in my arms.

  Our first round of Clomid was not a success.    I'll take my first pill for this cycle tonight.  Bring on the mood swings - here we go again! 

  GTKY:
  1. I do fundraising for a children's nonprofit and I did a grant request for a used school bus.  The funder called to tell me to ask for more money, which almost never happens. Looks like we'll be getting two brand new school buses, money for drivers, gas, insurance and all kinds of good stuff. 

  2. I bought an elliptical trainer at a consignment store over the weekend and so far I have exercised at least a little every day.  I'm going to try hard to keep it going and get myself into better shape. 

  3. With my work from home job, I don't always get out to see people, so I've been trying to make an effort to be more social.  I'm hosting three get togethers at my house this week - 1 yesterday, which was a lot of fun, a girls night/movie night tonight, and a big bbq on Saturday.  Though I didn't really intend to schedule everything so close together, I think it's shaping up to be a very fun week.

  GTKY: 1. I'm doing better emotionally today than yesterday! I'm finding things to smile about.2. My poodle got a haircut today so she'll finally want to snuggle again. When she's super furry she gets hot and won't sit with me.3. Burger King sells icees for $1 so I'm going to treat myself at lunch without having to worry about our budget!

  TTC: finished my last pills for clomid last friday, so just waiting to hopefully o this cycle any day now. I should be able to test labor day weekend.

  1. My DH and I have started eating better and excercising together.

  2. I have lost 5 lbs since then

  Update:  I had my first u/s today.  I posted about on PGAL if anyone is interested. 

  QOTD: 1. My promotion is moving along.  I expect I will be getting it within the next two weeks.

  2. I love love love that I can get library books on my nook!  It is so conveinent.  

  3.  The weather is perfect here.  Mid to upper 70's during the day.  In the 50's at night for perfect sleeping weather.

  Nothing new to report for me. My first period came and went, now I have two more before we can begin to try.

  GTKY:

  1. I'm hosting a clothing swap tomorrow with friends, though it's more of an excuse to drink wine, eat pizza, and chat.

  2. I have one more full week of work before I'm on vacation in New Orleans!

  3. I'm losing a little less than a pound a week as I prepare for a 5K, I'm still slow, but running actually hurts kinda good now. I look forward to my runs as hot and sweaty as they get. I can't wait for autumn, I'm done with this summer heat! Can we just skip September and move straight into October?

  (((HUGS))) to all.  I am having a pretty bitter day today.  I was fine in the morning & then I looked at the calendar & saw the date  My EDD is exactly 2 weeks from today.  If I were still pregnant with that baby I would be in maternity leave already & preparing for a c/s next week.  I tell myself not to think that way & to put those thoughts asside.  So i am going to try to do that & keep very busy these next few weeks. 

  Update:  Cycle 2 not charting.  going pretty well. No MF so far so that is goof.

  GTKY:  3 positive things going on right now

  1) DS started preschool & loves it.  I am very proud of him & just so happy we have given him the confidence & love he needs.  (ok, crying now... he just does not look like a baby at all anymore & it's killing me, but is exciting at the same time)

  2) I got a new boss & think she is great.  Much more laid back than my old boss & I don't get micromanaged on a daily basis.  Score! 

  3) I have been strangely optomistic lately. Which is a great thing after being a little depressed for so long.  I am hoping that this is a great turning point for me.

  I wonder if we are in the same bitter boat! NOT having a good week at all... I will see if I can bring myself to squeeze out 3 things.

  1. Tomorrow is pay day

  2. We are having bison burgers for dinner tonight (my fav)

  H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart!

  I'm still TTA for a bit. But I'm ok with that. I've been having a good week. Things are looking up for me, so I have positive feelings about when my hubby and I are ready to TTC again.

   1. I started my new job and love it! I'm not working with adults who act like children anymore.

  2. I talked to an old college friend today and didnt wanna cry when she told me she's 7 weeks pregnant. I was genuinely happy for her!

  3. I'm just happy to feel like I have hope and positive thoughts in my life right now.
