Long story short - I ended up in L&D last night for contractions. They were a few minutes apart on their monitor. They did the FFN test and it was positive (but, they warned me, it is always positive if there is some blood....which I have had).
Contractions lessened over a few hours and they decided against giving me any meds, or an IV. I'm just supposed to stop working and cut out all stress, stay off my feet, etc.
Has anyone tested positive for FFN and things were OK? My cervix has shortened and the babies have dropped, but for now, my cervix is closed.
Re: Positive FFN
Ditto to majcordova. Negative ffn but got steroid shots. My cervix is 2.9 when baby a is behaving but as soon as she snuggles up to my cervix it shot down to 2.3.
I asked for the p17 shots too & it could be in my head but I really feel like the are helping the contractions.
Good luck!!!

i don't have any advice, but i wanted to say i'm sorry you're dealing with this.
i wish all these complications would just stop for you! you have dealt with so much this pregnancy, i hope bed rest keeps your babies cooking a lot longer.
Thank you ladies for all of your feedback
I may ask about the P17 shots, but we noticed a serious drop in contractions when I was laying down vs. sitting. I think baby A is just reeeeeallly low. I feel like he could stick his hand out and wave at me sometimes.
Nicolee and Cbubbles -- thank you so much for your support!! I hope these babies stay cooking a lot longer as well

I would def. ask for P17 and make sure the Stanford MFMs stay on top of the monitoring. I def. blame them in some ways for my loss.
GL to you...I hope you are able to keep your babies in for many weeks to come.
