Going back to OB who misdiagnosed infertility?

I'm mainly a lurker on here since I was only a lurker on 3T and not much of a participant, but I'm sure other ladies have been in the same situation and I wondered what you all did. I first went to my OB/GYN to start testing when I wasn't pregnant after a year of TTC and from those tests she decided that I did not have PCOS and just had low progesterone (which was determined from a blood test done the day before my period started). She wanted to put me on Clomid (unmonitored) for up to 6 cycles. That's when I started going to an RE, who determined that I do have PCOS. God willing, I'll be released to see my OB/GYN in a month, but I'm wondering if I should go back to her or not. If any of you were in a similar situation, are you back with your OB/GYN who misdiagnosed you now that you're pregnant?

My other hesitation is that I've only been to see her twice--my previous OB retired--so I don't have a long history with her, either.

    I dont have any experience, but I think if I was misdiagnosed, I would def look for a new doctor, especially since you dont have a long history with her.  Glad you found your answers and can move on.  Good luck!

    i couldn't go back to the buy who misdiagnosed me......but i did get to go to one of his awesome partners!  he has been through infertility and IVF himself and it has made such a difference for me.  GL to you!

    While I would give my OB the side eye for not diagnosing me correctly (mine did), it really isn't their specialty. That's what a RE is for. Honestly- if that was my only gripe- and he is good at delivering babies- I would still go to him/her.

    I'm kinda in the same boat wondering the same thing.  I wasn't really misdiagnosed, but I did go through 6 months of treatment (clomid) with them before going to see the RE, and i wasn't too happy with the way the nurses were communicating etc.  My SIL goes to the same practice  and said they treat their OB patients much better than GYN patients.

     Part of me wants to find a new doctor, but at this point I kinda want to go where I'm comfortable, even if the last few experiences I had there I was wasn't too happy.

    This.  Is she the same OB that took care of you during your first pregnancy?  If so, then you know how she is as a prenatal practitioner.  If you liked her then, I would stick with her.

    I tried to post this last night, but the Bump was down. Thanks for your responses, ladies. I wish I had more than two appointments with my current OB to be able to judge better, especially since the first appointment was so positive and the second was so odd (she told me my test results, then was silent and I had to ask what the next step was, and she responded that "if you don't want to go back on birth control, you could try Clomid" ...).

    Luckily I have some time to decide ... I'm still kind of torn.
