3rd Trimester

Sore, achy, lots of pressure???

I am just over 31 weeks.  Have a lot of pressure, soreness, and achiness in my tummy, especially in the bottom and pelvic region.  Is this normal?  Ligaments or something else?  It gets MUCH worse when I walk.  Some back pain, but not too bad as long as I can take a few breaks during the day.  Any ideas that have helped?

Also getting lots of swelling in my ankles, feet, calves, and hands.  Think that's just from the heat . . it seems to subside once I can get them up for a bit.

Oh . . and then the nausea is ridiculous (still throwing up about once a day) and the headache is constant.

Think this is all normal, but not sure adn my OB is on vacation right now!

Any advice ladies?!?!?!

  • I had cramping and pain in my lower pelvis too and just saw my doctor today about it.  She said it's caused from the Braxton Hicks contractions, the baby being lower and possible dehydration.  She said just to drink lots of water and that this is all normal for late pregnancy.

Thanks!  I think I am carrying quite low, so that makes sense!

  • No problem.  I was worried about it too until I saw my doctor today and she reassured me that it was normal.  She said I will definitely know when real labor starts.  Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
  • You too!  Can't believe it's coming to an end!
