My Fitness Pal and 30 Day Shred

I use My Fitness Pal to track my eating and exercise and just started the30 day shred today!  How do you log your workout? I logged it as aerobics and it only gave me 150ish calories---I must be fat because that felt like way more than 150 cals!

 

Any success stories?  Anyone in process?

  • I would use a heart rate monitor to see how many calories you actually burn.  My Fitness Pal only gives an estimation and sometimes it is way off.

  • I log it under "general circuit training." I don't have a heart rate montior, so I make sure that I work my butt off during the 30DS, so that I have met the goal of the 187 calories burned that MFP gives you.
  • As for success stories? FWIW..... I did the 30 DS exactly like they recommend, 10 days on each level, doing the beginner moves (and using soup cans instead of weights). I also monitored my calorie intake on MFP and ate about 1500-1600 calories. I lost 2 inches around my hips and waist and lost 12 lbs. I have started it again, using the advanced moves, and I am alternating it with JM Yoga Meltdown. After doing 2 weeks of this routine, I have lost another 4 lbs. I find it very effective, but you have to push yourself to get good results!
