Hi all! I'm new to this board, and have been posting over on IF and TTC after 35.
I'm curious what your diagnosis was, and how many rounds of IVF it took to get pregnant.
I suffer from a blocked fallopian tube, and as best my ER can tell, everything else is working just fine. DH's SA is above average as well. We are doing IVF #1 right now (BCPs until 8/29 and then start stimming on 8/31), and I was curious to see how people with a similar Dx did with IVF. TIA!
Re: Question for those of you who were successful with IVF
5 REs + 3 surgical hysteroscopies for septum/lap + 3 failed IUIs
IVF w/ICSI/AH & acu = BFP!, unexplained spontaneous m/c @ 8w2d (our little girl),
FET w/acu = BFP!, B/G twins!, lost MP @19w, dx w/funneling cervix @20w,
twins nearly lost to IC @21w, saved by rescue cerclage, 17P & 16w of bedrest
Our twins born @36w4d via CS when A came foot first
Thankful for every day
my H was diagnosed with azoospermia, and as we were doing diagnostic testing for IVF for that we discovered i have a blocked fallopian tube.
IVF #1 ended in a c/p
IVF #2 got us here
good luck to you!

Baby Evangeline is here!
We are sort of unexplained. I've had a couple abdominal surgeries so the initial thought was scar tissue. During my last round of IVF with a new RE (after two fresh and a frozen), they started to wonder if my issue is egg quality. Luckily during IVF#4 they found two stellar embies who turned into our little girls on the way.
Best of luck to you!!
I have PCOS and Stage III endo. DH has some issues (low count and motility).
We got pregnant with IVF #1 but had an early m/c.
We did another fresh cycle and got pregnant with twins. I'm 22 weeks 2 days today. Hoping they stay in there for the long haul.
We were oficially unexplained, although my lining was always pretty cr*p. Also, this cycle, we did a 5dt, which showed the embryos that looked 'amazing' at day 3, infact did not make it to day 5, so I think there may have been some back luck in picking the right embryos.
IVF#1 - BFN - transferred 1 'perfect' 3 day embryo
FET#1 - BFN - transferred 2 'perfect' 3 day embryos
FET#2 with a new RE - BFP - transferred 1 hatching blast and 1 morula.
Jan to April 2010 - Clomid - All BFN
June 2010 - IVF - BFN
Oct 2010 - FET #1 - BFN
Dec 2010 - endometrial biopsy
Jan 2011 - Surprise BFP! - m/c at 6w5d
March 2011 - FET #2. Thawed 11 Day 1 embryos; 5 'exploded' / possible lab error?
ET 4/2/11 transferred 1 blast & 1 morula
Beta#1 10dp5dt =81; Beta#2 12dp5dt =222 Beta#3 16dp5dt =1337
It's a BOY!!!
IVF#1 (in Korea) - transferred one high quality embie because I hyperstimulated and had some fluid. BFN.
IVF#2 (in USA) - I hyperstimulated again but less severe than before so transferred three high quality embies. BFN.
FET#1 (in USA) - transferred 2 thawed embies. BFP! Now pregnant with singleton.
I only have one tube (similar to having one blocked tube) and husband has low motility. My RE said he was pretty surprised that I didn't get it the second round but I really think that hyperstimulation played a villian role in the fresh transfers. I'm just glad I have plenty of left over embies for future FETs.
Good luck to you and I hope you get a sticky on your first round! God knows how expensive this all is...
Diagnosis of MFI until we started stimming, then MFI & DOR.
We had to do three cycles to get here.
Good luck!

Unexplained IF
Clomid cycle 1-3 - BFN IUI 1-3 - BFN
Our official diagnosis was PCOS, but in the end, they suspected egg quality issues (perhaps due to the fact that I'm over 35).
Good luck!
Stage II Endo and slight PCOS for me, but my RE believes my main problem was immune issues. I had 30 eggs retrieved, transferred 2 embies, and have 11 frosties, so we don't think it was egg quality issues.
I am KU w/ twins from 1st IVF.
Best of luck!!
