Pregnant after IF

Headaches

At what point should I be concerned that I've had a nagging headache for a couple days?  Firstly, I'm REALLY prone to headaches, so just getting a headache wouldn't phase me.  It's not really painful, I'm not swollen, zero cramping, no change in CM and the kids are all kicking me just fine (they're active little buggers today).

I've been drinking lots of water and my feet are up the majority of the day (I work from home).  I'm wondering if it's allergies.

What do you think?

Re: Headaches

  • My doctor and I just talked about headaches last week.  She said that if it isn't taken care of by tylenol, and/or you see spots than call.  Tylenol has never worked for me so I've just been dealing with headaches.  My MFM says that they are a normal symptom.  So I'm just making sure I don't see spots.

I hope you feel better soon.

  • Thanks for the reassurance, Echloe. No spots, I tried Tylenol yesterday AM, I think, I think it softened the headache a bit.

  • Glow! I have had the same headache for about three weeks now. So annoying! Hope you feel better soon.
  • I've never really worried about mine, which are just at night and tension type (hurts in the temples).  My acu told me that mine are a sign of "blood deficiency" (which sounds much worse than it is), which I've always had since I've been seeing her.  Since I have two LOs taking all my nutrients, there is less left for me.  She treats me for them and I'm trying to eat more meat, which helps build up the blood.  Tylenol doesn't really help me.

I think headaches are really common in 2nd tri w/all the hormones, and w/multiples...

  • KT, I'm  sure you're right about all the hormones and stuff.

SL, I hope your headaches goes away soon!

I think I'm just entering into the nervous nelly portion of the pregnancy.  I'm worrying increasingly about everything, PTL, DS, autism, NICU time....all things I can't control.  I miss being in control.

  • I wouldn't worry too much.  I had horrible headaches up until 20 weeks or so.  The doctor gave me a prescription if I needed it.  Hope you feel better!  They suck!
