And he is a lot more alert, he smiles consciously when you talk to him. Yesterday he was staring at the black and white cards that his grandma was showing him and when she started moving them around, he was following them with his eyes and was turning his head! That is the good and fun part. The not so fun part.. he still wakes up every 2 hours at night to nurse, and he has a fussy period around 5am-7am. He seems to be gassy, and after farting (as an adult!) and pooping he goes back to sleep eventually. I BF and it may be diet related. But why always at the same time?
Anyways, I am enjoying being a mom. And you moms, have a good weekend!
Re: My baby is 1 month old today
My Blog

My D is 4 months today!
We were getting into a regular schedule for night feedings (~10pm, ~2am, ~5am), but now that we are traveling... all routine is gone. I've stopped trying to control things and I'm just feeding him when he wants it. Somehow, I think we are both happier this way.
On pooping, D is pretty regular (although travel is taking a toll there, too). He poops every morning between 5-7am. I wouldn't call him fussy when it happens, but you can tell it's coming. They often poop when they're nursing (I call it eating on the toilet), but it doesn't seem to be working like that for us lately so maybe that's more of a newborn thing.
Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!
Awww.. congrats on getting through the first month!!! and nursing round the clock...too. I don't know how anyone who has a csection (I think you did) does it... God bless you. BTW: how is your recovery going.. one month later? Just curious to know how I'll feel in a few weeks.
Ian (that is his name, right?) is so cute.. that black and white pic is adorable. Sweet baby... Happy one month!!
One month after the c-section I feel great. Still waiting for my 6 week PP appointment for my OB to give me a green light to resume my normal physical activities. The first two weeks my incision felt sore after walks. Now I go on long walks, ride my bike and it feels fine. I can still feel that there is something...but it is not painful. Still have vaginal discharge though...
You may be forced to recover even quicker, since you have your cute B to run after:) Good luck!
