Re: **Twins & Triplets Check-in**
Morning, ladies!
T&P's to Medtwin. How heartbreaking.
So, I had my Level II ultrasound last week. Baby girl A and Baby Boy C look text book perfect, Identical Baby girl B is measuring small with shortened femurs. Of course they've scared the helll out of me again, but I'm doing my best to remain positive. 90% that everything is fine. She's always been smaller than the other two, so I hope so just continues to grow at her pace. Other than the size, all bits and pieces are in the right places, but I still have to go see the fetal echocardigram specialist on the 26th because they couldn't get a good picture of her heart.
QOTW: I can usually think of something, but today I am drawing a blank.
Sending T&P to Medtwin on losing baby Max. So heartbreaking...
Still boring over here, which I like, and they are wiggling up a storm. A/S is next Thursday.
5 REs + 3 surgical hysteroscopies for septum/lap + 3 failed IUIs
IVF w/ICSI/AH & acu = BFP!, unexplained spontaneous m/c @ 8w2d (our little girl),
FET w/acu = BFP!, B/G twins!, lost MP @19w, dx w/funneling cervix @20w,
twins nearly lost to IC @21w, saved by rescue cerclage, 17P & 16w of bedrest
Our twins born @36w4d via CS when A came foot first
Thankful for every day
Congrats to all the new mommies- there are so many!!
My heart is just broken for Medtwin- I had no idea all that she is going through. Sending tons of T&Ps her way.
I can't believe how close my name is to the top of that list!! I'm hoping these LOs can keep cooking for another 3 weeks or so. I'd be thrilled if I could get them to 36 weeks!
I see my OB on Friday and then once a week's begin!
Thoughts and Prayers to Medtwin and any one else who needs them.
A lot has gone on in the past week. My OB transferred me to a new team of doctors at a new hospital and I can see the difference in care already. We were transferred because of Baby A's heart issue and her slow growth. I'll meet with the MFM and Cardiologist at each appt and the care for me and the babies will all be coordinated. Bad news is the new hospital and doctors are 40 miles away, but it's the best place for the heart surgery and pretty much the only one that will do it when she's born. Now we just need her to continue to grow. Baby B is measuring ahead by about a week and appears to be doing well. I have another appt today--hoping all continues to go well--as we are constantly told that everything can change very quickly--especially with Baby A.
2/21/11: IVF #1 Begins and results in TWINS!
11/4/11: The twins are born at 36w4d!
11/5/11: We said goodbye to our sweet baby girl as she was born with multiple complications and a severe heart defect, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.
morning ladies!
My thoughts are with medtwin & her family.
I'm with Amers & can't believe how close my name is to the top of that list! The last few months have gone by so fast.
I'm still on bed rest for preterm labor. At my appointment yesterday I was 2cm dilated, but still have 2.4cm of cervix. I'm still hoping to get to 35 weeks, but I feel pretty good making it to 32 weeks, I know it would still be a significant amount of time in the NICU, but not as scary as it would have been a few weeks ago.
T&P's to Medtwin. How awful.
Update on me: 22 weeks 2 days today measuring 29 weeks (HOLY CRAP!). I'm feeling good, but have been noticing some swollen feet/ankles lately. I am feeling more movement but still not consistent. I have a growth u/s on Monday and a fetal echo next Friday. I cannot wait to see the girls again. Oh and we've started their nursery!! That was really exciting. I loved watching DH put their cribs together.
On a not MoM related topic: DH got a job! It's his first full time teaching position. We're over the moon and so excited that we can breathe a bit easier on the financial front. I mean not much easier, but we'll take it!
So much sadness today between Medtwin and illinigal. I am just heartbroken for them in their losses.
Things are still chugging along over here. My 3 day per week WFH has really helped me to be less tired. My Dr had me come in yesterday for a cervix check since I started having braxton hicks last week and it was still long and hard (yay!). I go again next Tuesday for a growth scan and my glucose test.
