Illinois ladies...

I have a friend on FB who needs help trying to pay for her sons hospital bills/stays. What kind of help is there in Illinois that she could try to get. In Ohio we have BCMH and Help me grow. She said they dont have HMG and was gonna look into BCMH if they have it. Also told her to try for SS. Any other ideas? TIA!

    Could she talk to a social worker through the hospital that could connect her to the right places?

    I just went through EI and they have a program that helps kids with certain organ problems.  There were income limits which means we didn't qualify (barely) and unfortunately I don't remember the name of the program, but I know it's administered through University of Illinois at Chicago.  Maybe she could call the early intervention people and ask them.  She should also talk to the hospital.
