No Progress Ladies, let me know you're out there

So, I am 39.1 weeks today and have absolutely no progress......anyone else out there in the same situation? Induction of course will be discussed at next week's appointment. Because I am over 35, they don't want to wait too long to deliver the baby. However, I'm very apprehensive of inducing when my cervix isn't even close to ready. I don't think I'd mind if I were like 3cm, but I feel if my body isn't ready, the induction will be too much of a shock. PS. My pregnancy has been perfectly healthy thus far.

I went in last Monday and had no progress. Started having some contractions Wednesday night, went in at 8pm on Thursday and was 4cm and 100% effaced....had my baby at 2:33am Friday morning.

I am 10 days away from D day and as of last week's appointment I have had no progress. I doubt I will have any this Thursday either since I haven't had a since BH contrx at all. Hang in there and remember things can change on a dime.

I need to change my ticker, since they changed my due date a few weeks ago. I just love convincing myself that I am almost there! Haha.

But, I am currently 38w2d.

I have not had any internals at all, and my doctor does not do them until your 40w apt. So, if no baby by my due date of the 28th, I will have an apt and an internal on the 30th.

ive been 2 cm for the last 2 weeks...doc is on vacation this week so no check for me this week to see if there is a change but to be honest i dont think there is...havent had any contractions or anything

I have FOUR days left. That's it...FOUR. I feel SO close, but according to my appointment last Wednesday she was still "Way up there" as the mid-wife said. I have another appointment tomorrow and I am hoping for a little better news that things are progressing. I feel as though she has definetly dropped because I am having alot more pelvic pressure. I have been having more regulaur BH and some mild cramping today but nothing that is consistent. GL, hopefully that baby comes on it's own!

I am also 39 weeks as well. According to the OB this morning, I have dropped but she couldn't even get to my cervix (up & back) without causing me a lot of discomfort she said so really no progress. Induction will be the 26th if I don't go before that. Hopefully things will start progressing on their own.

As a FTM, I'm not sure if what I'm even feeling are BH. I get tightness a lot, and my stomach is as hard as a rock. Had a couple of painful pings here & there, but thinking that LO likes his/her accommodations...and has no intention of vacating soon. I have been asking it to get a move on becuase my doc is on call tomorrow in L&D, and then not again for 2 weeks, so it would be nice to have her deliver LO.

I'm only 1 centimeter dilated (have been for at least the last 3 weeks) and 40% effaced. Baby is high and doesn't seem to want to drop, so progress is all but stalled. I'm scheduled for an induction next Monday night.

If induction is the way you're going and your cervix isn't quite ready, they will give you something to help it along. Don't worry, I'm sure everything will be fine! Good luck!

I am sure no progress is frusterating but if it helps at all having some progress and stalling is frusterating too. All of us that are still waiting I think are in the same boat progress or not. I try not to think too much about the progress. I was 2cm/70%/0 two weeks ago. Than last week no change. Frusterating. But really you could be nothing different and then all of the sudden go all the way or you could be so "close" for weeks and weeks. Either way we all just wait and wait and wait. Sigh.

My experience:

I was last checked on Tuesday (July 26) and had ZERO progress. I went into labor on Saturday (July 30) and gave birth on Monday (August 1).

ETA: I was due on August 2nd

I'm 39wks today too and I feel absolutely nothing!! I still have my mucus plug, no bloody show...nothing!! I feel so left out (Hope I don't regret saying that)

I have 2 days till D day and 2 days till my next dr's appt. I feel like I am never going to have this child. I have not had a pelivc exam so I have no idea if there has been any progress.

I'm 2 days overdue, and I've got nothing. My last appointment was 2 days before my EDD and I was 1cm but firm, although the baby was low. I haven't lost my MP, have no contractions other than the rare BH. I'm hoping things get into gear soon. I know from my DD that you don't need to be 3cm to go into labor- I was only fingertip dilated on my EDD with her, and went into labor 5 days later.

I have ZERO progress...so much so that they did an US on Monday because at my Friday appointment they were concerned she flipped to breech. Apparantly she instead moved up...which means she isn't interested in dropping any time soon

I've had "progress" since 31 weeks but still no outcome. Due date is tomorrow. As of last Thursday I was 3 cm, 0 station and 85%. I have 2-3 hours of BH everyday, can't sleep for more than an hour at a time and am overall miserable and uncomfortable. Lost MP Saturday morning...... All this and still no outside baby!!!!!! Go back to doctor Thursday for next check. Maybe if I've dilated some more he'll send me to L&D but who knows. Sending labor dust, happy thoughts and prayers for patience to all

Was due on Aug 14, so Im 40/2. Went to Drs. today for NST and internal, barely a fingertip dilated and my cervix has not started thinning out at all. I have to go back on Friday for another NST and an ultra sound to check my amniotic fluid levels, if all is well I am scheduled for an induction on Monday evening. I am not looking forward to the induction at all, I am scared it is going to take forever or I may be one of the rare ones who fail to progress. Fingers crossed I go on my own before that but it is hard to stay optimistic at this point, so I defiantly feel where you are coming from. Chin up we will make it, and have an outside baby soon

I'm 40wks 5days and as of Thursday I was 50% effaced and not dilated. I lost my MP Monday morning but nothing since. I'm very much NOT wanting to be induced or worse have a c-section but I may not have a choice. Good luck mamas! I feel your pain, these last few weeks have been awful.

No dialation but OB has said i've thinned out quite a bit... Induction scheduled for Sunday.. I haven't had any noticable contractions.. GL!

Last week my OB said i was dilated a fingertip but I went in on monday thinking my water broke at work and the house OB said my cervix is really high and pretty much scoffed at the idea of even a fingertip It was depressing to say the least.

Most times I try to convince myself that it's great to still be pregnant because he is getting more developed each day/week and more ready for the outside but other times I just want to be done and feel a bit guilty thinking this.

being over 35 means absolutely NOTHING when you're talking about due dates, so that shouldn't enter into the equation at all. I'm 40 weeks and 36, and we're not even considering induction for at least another 2 weeks. there is absolutely no reason to induce from what you've said.

*waves* Hi, yeah, 41 weeks and no progress whatsoever. I would love nothing more than to go into labor yesterday, lol. But, the doc is letting me go to 42 weeks if all is well. A blessing and a curse, le sigh.

Try not to sweat it. On August 11 I still had a long cervix but baby's head was down low. Jump to the 14th at 3:00pm. Fully effaced, head quite low, contractions 2 min apart only 1cm dilated. Baby born at 7:26p.m. that night. I can happen quick! Doesn't always, but it can.

I am in exactly the same situation. 39 weeks 1 day today. No dilation. Baby hasn't dropped. No Braxton Hicks or cramps. Nothing. I'm also 35 with a healthy pregnancy with very few negative symptoms, but my doctor hasn't said anything about needing induction due to my age. My practice's standard practice is to induce 7 to 10 days or 10 to 14 days (depending on which doctor in the practice I talk to) after your EDD. So we talked last week and they are contacting the hospital to get an induction date for me over Labor Day weekend. I'm hoping for the Tuesday after Labor Day since that is the longest they will let me go and it will give my body more time to try to work on its own.

I think more people then you know are in the same boat as you. My due date is today and I have absolutely NO progress, its a bummer. At the same time I know that baby cant stay in there forever so it doesnt worry me too much. I just keep telling myself that he needs more time to "cook". We talked induction at my last appt on Monday and my Dr. said they would induce me no later then the 29th whether I had progress or not. At a certain point its more dangerous to keep your LO in there then to just deal with being induced (as much as we dont want to

Great post! It just helps to know we're not the only ones in the last week or overdue playing the waiting game!

I'm due in a couple days, last week my doc said I was ~1, this week i had to see another doc - she downgraded me to closed and tight Crying How depressing is that?! I hit my breaking point yesterday as it's been a tough week on the old body and last night was no exception.

Thanks to the ladies who posted about making quick last minute progress, it helps to get through these last trying days!

I had my 38 week appt today and was told that I'm 50% effaced and no dialation (well, does a fingertip mean anything? LOL) I asked my Dr how long she'd "let me go" before doing some kind of inducing procedure and she said 41-42 weeks!!! Being pregnant and feeling so crappy (physically) for another 4 weeks sounds awful!!! I'm hoping baby starts making his move to come on out of there!!!
