So I O'd 6 or 7 days ago & we tried to make G a sibling. Lol. Anyway, 2 days ago (so 4 or 5 days post ovulation) my supply went straight down to nothing. I was empty from the moment I woke up. G was getting so frustrated trying to eat & there wasn't more than a few little swallows. Finally I had to make him take a bottle (which he has adamantly refused since 5 weeks) & eat solids because he hated the bottle & only took 1 or 2oz each time. I've eaten 3,000 calories daily for 3 days & tos of water to try to boost my milk production, but nothing yet.
Anyway, has this happened to anyone else? Is this ridiculous drop in supply because I'm *hopefully* KU? Also, if it has happened to you, did your supply ever rebound or was that the end of BF?
ETA: I've had regular periods since 6 weeks PP & they have never done anything this dramatic. I probably should've mentioned that! I know I'm jumping the gun because my body wouldn't even know I'm KU for a few days, but its just so weird that I have absolutely no milk all of a sudden.
Re: Dramatic BM supply drop- 1st sign of pregnancy?
That was my reason for testing I tried oatmeal, mother's milk plus, mother's milk tea, etc. I knew that normally within 2 weeks of supply drop, AF visited so as I neared the end of week 3 with a dwindling freezer stash I tested. We didn't try, but it was still positive. (We didn't prevent either but with my PCOS, it was a huge surprise!)
I didn't realize I was pg until 8 weeks because I had heavy heavy spotting that I wrote off as a period....the pp periods had gradually been getting lighter, plus it was right before Christmas, we had a house full of people....we weren't trying so I wasn't analyzing every.single.symptom.
However, in retrospect, my supply didn't really start to drop until the week AFTER that, so it would have been the week after AF was scheduled to arrive or 5 weeks pg. Then I thought my supply had tanked because DD was nursing less and taking more solids combined with going back to work after the holidays. :-/ Boy I felt like a moron when I finally put two and two together!
