Success after IF

Anyone here have a sit and stand?

If so, do you knwo if it works with a baby carrier?  I want a  front to back stroller (as opposed to side by side seats) where DS can ride in the front seat and the baby carrier can fit into the back seat closest to the push handle...make sense?

  • I do not have a sit n stand, but I went window shopping for stroller this past weekend and found this one at Buy Buy Baby: https://www.buybuybaby.com/product.asp?SKU=17319582&RN=7032

It is similar to a sit n stand but lighter in weight and shorter.  You can fit the baby carrier and an older child can either sit or stand in the back.  You just slide the flat seat forward or back depending on if the older child wants to sit or not.  I really liked it and it fits almost all carriers.

I have that joovy and love it, but the infant seat can only go in the front.  Wasn't a big deal to me, the infant seat phase is pretty short anyways.  By 6 months he was ready to sit in the regular seat in front and DS was sitting/standing in back.  I was worried she wouldn't be able to see as much in the back but she loves being close to me and could see fine.  I also had a pretty good vantage point on the baby in the infant carrier from there too.

Thanks!  Good to know.  I played around with it at the store and found if I kept the infant seat further up then there was more room for the older child. I really like it and am thinking seriously about it.

  • I have a sit n stand. I hate it. H A T E it. But... it does take most baby carriers. Graco for sure fits. I think Chico doesn't if I remember right.  However the baby goes on the front. Not nearest to the handle. Really you get what you pay for in this model. It's like driving a semi trailer and feels like it may fall apart when we go down a curb. Forget about taking it in any kind of bumpy sidewalk or grass. You also can't get into the basket. I wanted to like it,  but I can't.

  • ours fit with a car seat (a baby trend car seat). FWIW I would NOT recommend them. They are SOOO hard to push and maneuver,  they were heavy and awkward.  We sold ours on craigslist and got a phil and teds with a double seat instead.
Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever!
