Has anyone experienced this?
DD was constipated about a month ago and the pedi said to give her prune juice. I gave her 1 ounce two days in a row. The following week she had diarrhea. Everything was fine for a week, then she got diarrhea again last week. Now this week she is constipated again.
The only thing I can figure it could be is the formula, which we've been using Similac Sensitive. She does get about 2-4 ounces of breast milk a day, could it be something I'm eating causing it?
TIA!!
Re: Similac Sensitive and Constipation
We switched to sensitive a little over a week ago because he was constipated. The first day he went immediately and then he went back to his 2/3 day schedule. I was also supplementing with some breast milk, but I wanted to stop just to see if it was me. He has gone 5 days in a row now, but I don't know if his body is just used to it now or if it was because I stopped the breast milk.

LO has been on SSensitive since about 2 weeks and is now 3 months. She has loose poop (almost diahrea) when we use the powdered version about 65% of the time. When I use the ready to feed or or the concentrated liquid, it looks like normal poop.
Since I ran out of the liquid, she has been only on the powder lately. I think maybe I wasn't putting enough powder before (maybe the scoop wasn't full throughout) b/c I have read that if the consistency isn't right it can affect the BM's. The last few times, I put a little bit more powder in and the BM's have been normal.
So it could be the consistency. I guess I will wait and see if I get any more loose ones!
