Nicole's PSA reminded me of my diaper brand fears. I've been really hesitant to stock up on diapers because I know every baby is different and some brands just work better for some more than others. Are you guys worried about that? I don't want to end up stuck with 10 cases of huggies and then find out that Pampers work best on my little guy.

Re: Diaper worries?
I only ever used pampers on DS until he was out of size 3. I think that's what all my family had used and that was what we started with so I just stuck with it. I've been getting a box here and there in pampers for this one, assuming that it will work. I get them from amazon so if there is a problem I should be able to return them.
I also think that walmart is really good about exchanging diapers.

I think they are valid concerns. Not only sizing wise, but some babies seem sensitive to whatever happens to be in certain brands and need to change to avoid diaper rash. I don't think stocking up makes a lot of sense.
and with Amazon Mom, diaper prices stay low and consistent, and you schedule regular deliveries to your house. there is really no need to stock up anymore, anyways, imo.
Because we're fancy like that.
i was concerned about this too! we decided though that we didn't need to be brand loyal at first and that we would buy whatever is cheap (unless we read/heard something *terrible* about a particular brand).
we have bought diapers from i think 4 or 5 different brands now, so we can see which work best. also, most of what we have bought so far was in-store, so we can return anything we decide not to use pretty easily and buy a different brand if we need to.
FWIW, baby bargains recommends not being brand loyal b/c you can end up paying a lot more (for example, my SIL will only buy pampers and they can be $$$, esp since she doesn't bargain hunt!). the teacher at my multiples class last week recommended the same thing, and a few friends and family members are the same way.
I am the diaper ordering queen and I am still worried about it! But here is the way I see it,
We are having 2, you bet your butt I am stocking up. I was allergic and had to use cloth as a baby, BOTH my nieces and nephew were allergic to everything but Luv's. That makes NO DIFFERENCE since every baby is different. I look to see what is on sale for the the month and we switch it up between diaper sizes and brands. I am VERY happy with our decision to start stocking up.
(From working in the daycare and being a nanny I personally like Luv's but heard from ladies on the multiples board and SAIF the pampers swaddlers were the best for newborns so we have plenty of both)
My sister said that all the "fancy" brands gave my nephew rashes and the only ones that worked for her were Target brand. These are the types of things I worry about. I don't want to load up on a ton and turns out my LO can only use one brand. Thats a good idea of getting one of each just to see how they work out.

Even though I'm having trips, I still feel like i have a TON of diapers already. But, let's say worst case possible, I'm doing 12 diapers changes/day X 3 kids = 36 diapers a day. One of the 192 count boxes will only last about 5 days. I have probably a 3 week supply on me right now, that's not to awful, is it???
I have this same concern. Believe me, I'd rather not have to be brand loyal or dependent, but don't want to stock up and then be stuck with them not working out for us. I know Walmart is great about taking back unopened diapers, but then again, what if you're only a few into a 192 pack and then what!?
We received some Pampers, Luvs, and I believe Huggies as gifts, but definitely need to pick up more here and there. Hoping once we figure it out then we can really buy in bulk and save!
