Breakfast suggestions for morning sickness?

Well, my morning sickness finally hit.  It is actually more like midnight sickness and then I don't want to eat breakfast in the morning. I'm starving by the time I get to work.  Any suggestions for good on-the-go options that won't upset my stomach?

  • I've heard oatmeal can help

  • It's really more all about what YOU can stomach.  But I have found granola bars, oatmeal, fruit, glass of milk or even nuts work for me.  Pretty much getting anything in my stomach, even a little bit will help.  I went and bought some pouches of that Emerald Nut Breakfast on the Go stuff, haven't tried it yet but they reseal and have all sorts of yummy goodness in them so figured can't hurt to toss in my purse and give them a try.

    Good luck!

  • dry cereal - throw it in a ziploc and into your purse and snack on the way
  • I just bought these Emerald breakfast on the go pouches...I got the breakfast blend...it's really good, fills me up, and keeps me full for awhile!

  • Instead of a breakfast suggestion, I'm giving the suggestion of bedtime snack.  My doctor recommended eating a PB sandwich before going to bed because it takes so much longer to digest and will keep your blood sugar more level so that you don't start feeling sick in the middle of the night.

  • When I had m/s really bad in the morn I would eat one or two saltine crackers. I wouldnt want to but it helped. I bought bagels and eggos. I have a hard time making them for myself though. I couldnt stand the kitchen. I have almonds and also juice. I drink 8 oz of OJ just about every morning.

  • I've been having a bacon egg & cheddar breakfast sandwich. My usual oatmeal is just not appealing any more.

  • Microwave pancakes help me get through and sprite. I dont know why but it helps!

  • I keep a box of Special K cereal bars in my desk. They're good and not too heavy for a tender stomach.

  • I found the key to keeping nausea at bay is PROTEIN.  You have to find away to eat it, I swear it makes a world of difference!  I have scrambeld eggs on toast every morning (I know some might not be able to stomach this) even if they don't seem like something I WANT to eat I still force them down and I always feel 100 times better because of it.

  • Whole wheat waffles with peanut butter. And, some days when I'm craving dairy U have greek yoghurt, mixed with fruit and granola.

  • Try a cracker or two before you get out of bed.  Then for breakfast I've been eating a bagel with veggie cream cheese-it's the only thing that is appealing to me.  Also, ditto eating a nice hearty snack before bed.  Last night I ate a slice of veggie pizza.  I am a big night-time snacker and coincidentally I have zero morning sickness in the morning, but then it hits me around 1 pm and lasts the whole rest of the frickin day.
