I get it cleaned whenever I can ( I also clean it myself but the jeweler's machine is better). But I get it buffed once a year ( I have platinum, I don't know if they buff gold). After not being able to wear it for so long, I finally able to wear both of them because I have lost the weight I put on during IV's. So they are nice and shiny from when I got them buffed before. So how often do you get yours cleaned, buffed or dipped?

I used to work at a couple jewelry stores. I would recommend you have your ring checked every 6 months and have it cleaned while you are there. As for rhodium dio for white gold, that just depends on you. The reason white gols fades is because of your body chemistry and if you're day to day life. if you use a lot of chemicals like while cleaning house while wearing it or you wash your hands often things like that it will fade faster. A lot of times jewelers will automatically dip the ring after having it soldered to your band.
