Ugh. People suck sometimes. Our second car is a fairly old (but paid for) VW Jetta. I got it back in my single days and it was my "bike" car (I used to race). I had a really nice Yakima rack and accessories worth about $700, which was locked to the car, so I never worried about it. Some jackass stole it off the top of my car Friday night while it was parked in front of our house and broke it getting it off. Who does that??!! We live in a nice neighborhood too. So now we get to deal with two deductibles - one for the damage to the car under our car policy and the rack goes under the home policy since its not part of the car. BLAH!
I have to say though, seeing T's blueberry face Saturday morning made me feel a whole lot better. Its just stuff after all. But I still hope bad karma bites them in the ass.
Re: NPR - we were ripped off this weekend :(
People are getting really desperate these days.
And FYI, make sure you file a police report. It may turn up at a local pawn shop.

The blueberry face is awesome! I am sure that karma will catch up with your thief eventually.
Edited to correct spelling.
So sorry about you car and the stolen rack. But you are right and it is only stuff after all.
T's face is precious!
