Need to research car seats...any ideas?

I was hoping to research online. Does anyone have any good websites that I should be using? DH and I both drive a lot of miles and highway to get to work every day, so we need really good car seats. Thanks for any tips!

I would recommend a subscription to Consumer Reports online, not just for car seats, but everything. I think we pay ~ $15/yr. Worth every penny.

The number closest to the price is the overall score.

The first dot: Crash Protection (Britax and Safety 1st getting execellent ratings)

The second dot: Ease of use (Chicco getting an excellent rating)

The third dot: Fit to Vehicle Latch (Combi and Chicco getting an excellent rating )

The fourth dot: Combi (getting an excellent rating)

I got a lot of helpful information about car seats from the Baby Bargains book. We ended up going with the Graco SnugRide 30 based on different things I read online. Plus it was lighter than the Chiccos which was a priority for me.

FYI- the Safety 1st onboard air was our first choice but went with the Chicco keyfit30 because the safety 1st had very limited stroller compatiblity... Just make sure it will fit your stroller before buying it

it has a wider base than most which is why it doesn't fit a lot of strollers
