A cold during pregnancy...

So DH has been sick, and needless to say I caught it! It's nothing terrible but yesterday I had a slight temperature(99.8). Today the temp is gone but I still have the sniffles, sore throat etc. Kind of wish I could take like Tylenol cold or something, but it's manageable. Any other ladies who've had a cold during pregnancy? You didn't call your doctor or anything, right?

    I have had two....and I tried my best to manage on my own, but there were actually quite a few cold/runny nose meds on my approved list. And once I took something, it made SUCH a difference. I did it sparingly, but was glad I did. So it might be worth a call to your OB just to see if there is something you can take.

    I had two colds in the 2nd trimester. I also had a really bad cough with both of them. I took Tylenol for the headache but I don't think u took anything else. It was miserable! I hope you get better really soon! Being sick while pregnant is the worse!

    I have had a few... one every month since last October to be exact (so way before pregnancy!)  I usually just managed with tylenol, but that's all I normally do anyway... I am not big on taking meds unless absolutely necessary.  There were some meds I was told I could take (you'd be surprised!), so if you feel like something could help, call your OB to find out.  Hope you feel better soon hun!

    I'm sorry.  I have a terrible cold right now too.  My OBs office gives out a booklet with all kinds of info including a list of "approved" over the counter medicines.  I took Sudafed on Saturday b/c I had a baby shower and didn't think I was going to survive it - it helped tremendously.  I also took a Benadryl one night even though I didn't think it was right for my symptoms but I slept great!

    I have a cold right now too!  I have been using my netti pot, that helps and continuing tylenol.  Since I'm still in 1st tri, I can't do much else :(

    I had really bad sinus pressure/headache/sniffles/cough in first tri and really didn't want to take anything.  I ended up taking Tylenol once or twice when my headache got miserable... and I drank some tea to help with my cough.  I used a humidifier in my room and that really helped.  Cough drops (non-menthol with pectin I think it was) were on my safe list as well.  Put in a call to your OB though as every OB recommends different things!  Hope you feel better!
