I'm not pregnant yet (trying!), but here's my plan:
I'm going to blow up a bunch of light blue and pink balloons and put them in the shower where he'll discover them. (I did something similiar when we were dating to celebrate our 100th date and that was the night he proposed).
Then I also bought a little suit for a baby boy and will hang that in the closet for him to discover.
I'm also working on a paper chain for each week of the pregnancy. I'll wrap that and let him open that. I'm hoping that will keep him more connected to the pregnancy. On the "inside" of each paper chain is just 2 sentences or so of what's happening this week.

Well the husband and I were trying and when I was late for my period he was the one who suggested I take the test and we found out together... nothing too exciting. I mean it was exciting but nothing like the ballons in the shower idea. I took a picture of the test results and to tell our families I sent them a pic message of it... then got 9 million phone calls.
It was a surprise for both of us - we had planned on waiting a little while longer, so I just found some time after work one evening when things were quiet and I told him I thought I was pregnant. His first question was, "Okay, what makes you think that?" to which I replied, "Mostly the positive pregnancy test." He was dumbfounded but after the news sunk in for both of us, we couldn't be more excited! He has been so cute, putting baby tracker apps on our phones and stuff like that!
I told DH I wanted to take a home pregnancy test and that something wasn't right. If I have caffeine my breasts get sore the week before my period. It was to be the week of my period and I had no caffeine that month and my breasts were tender. He didn't believe me, told me (ME! lol) that although my period was late it could still come (I've had cycles where period came on day 36). I knew it wasn't the case though. I got tired of waiting I got a test while he was at work. Sure enough, I was pregnant. When he got home, I basically said "I told you so" and showed him the test.
Re: How did you tell your DH you were preggers?
