I did my trigger shot on Sunday and i have a follow up with my RE on the 24, i think they are doing some sort of blood test anyway when can i do a hpt? the 24th will be 10 days after trigger.
If you're getting a beta draw at 10 dpo, save yourself some worry and don't bother poas before then -- the trigger could definitely still be in your system up to that day and give you a false positive on a home test.
I've gotten false positives 10 and 11 dpo, which would be 11 and 12 days past trigger. You *don't* want to do that. If it's negative, it might still become positive, and if it's positive, you will have no way of knowing if it's real or not. It's not fun.
My feet and Miss Heidi the rescue mutt!
15 treatment cycles: four early m/c
Moving forward with domestic infant adoption!
I did my trigger on Aug 4th and O'd on the 6th and I'm not going to POAS until this Saturday the 20th... so 16 dpt and 14 dpo. You may be able to do it earlier but I'm trying to hold out as long as possible. Good luck.

Last cycle I had a barely there 2nd line at 10dpo (11dpt)...it didn't show up the next day so I'm pretty sure it was the remnants of the trigger. I would advise against testing that early.

i guess that the blood draw is to see if i am preggo! i can hold of on testing at home i think, it's always so dissapointing anyway, just have my hopes up this cycle, but not too much!
I started testing right away because it was my first IUI attempt and I was out of my mind wondering how long it would take to get out of my system ( i dont suggest it). I started getting a negative 11 days past IUI. Im 14 days past IUI today, had my blood test to see if I am pregnant and anxiously awaiting the results. Im still testing negative and spotting brown. Im pretty sure im out this cycle but still hanging on the the shred of hope.

You are stronger woman than I am. I did my trigger Aug 6 and O'd on 8th. I still plan to test on the 20th
After 15 cycles and 3 rounds of clomid (50mg) we got our BFP.

This--I got a false positive last cycle on 10dpo (11.5 days after trigger). I got my hopes up and then was crushed the next day when the test was negative.
In the future I will only be testing at 12dpo or later.

Don't worry... the chances are very slim I'll actually be able to stick to my plan and test on the 20th! I need to stop keeping pregnancy tests in the house because it's just SO tempting!
