induction date

Went to the dr. today and I am still at 1 cm and not progressing any, so Dr. will be inducing on next Tuesday when I will be 39 weeks.  Excited and scared at the same time but I know it will be for the best!
TTC since May 2009 Dx PCOS Metformin 1500 a day Aug 2010 1st RE visit ovaluated on own Sept 2010 Clomid Oct 2010 Clomid, HCG Nov 2010 Femera Dec 2010 Femara, HCG Sucessful Jan 2012 Femara, HCG Feb 2012 Femera, Follistim, HCG Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker Pregnancy Ticker

    Is there a reason why you're being induced before your due date?  Also, you never know what could happen.  You can dilate all at once, or not at all before going into labor and still be able to deliver.  Dilation in the weeks before baby arrives doesn't always indicate when you'll go into labor.

    Yeah, I don't understand why you would get induced.  Doctors are too quick to intervene when things are normal.  Normal time for babies to be born is between 37-42 weeks.  I would let that baby finish cooking unless there is a real medical reason for getting induced.  Good luck to you!

    High blood pressure- under control with meds right now and GD- under control with meds but some numbers are starting to creep back up.  Dr. worried about baby being to big if they wait til due date.
