low body temp

I posted the other night about lo having a 101.8 fever. (i gave him Tylenol until his fever went away for good) He's been on his antibiotics for 4 days now. It was prescribed 1/2 a tsp once a day for 5 days so it's a strong antibiotic. Anyways, LO's been crying every evening like he's in pain and reaching for the right ear (before it was his left ear) but he's still on the antibiotics so even if he did have an infection in the right ear, it should be going away as well. Anyways, He's been super fussy the last few nights and gets so mad and starts screaming when trying to put him to bed. Just a bit ago I was rocking him and his body feels very clammy. I took his temp under his arm and it's actual reading 96.4 under the arm so his temp would be 97.4. Is this anything to be concerned about? He hasn't had any kind of medication to reduce his temp in over 24 hours.

    I don't know about the low temp thing, so if you are concerned, you might want to call the on-call pedi.  But I know when my kids were on antibiotics, it messed up their guts something fierce.

    Yes, low temp can be a problem. Is he lethargic? Take a rectal and if it is still low call your pedi after hours line.
