Hmmm... no O after trigger?

Is it possible to not release mature follies after you trigger?

I may be overly paranoid, but seeing as how we did the IUI so early this month (I had a 20, 14 and 12mm follie on CD8), plus the fact that I didn't get my usual tell-tale O pains, PLUS the fact that I'm getting them today instead... really gotta make ya wonder.

Anyone have any insight? Does it happen? If we did the IUI 2 days ago and I O tonight, would we still be ok? We DTD last night and will again tonight just to be safe, but I guess I'm looking for a little reassurance.

    Yikes, I have no input, but I pray that you O'd already and it all works out..I am so glad the nurse told me that she thought I was ovulating due to mucus, it gave me a bit of comfort. Do you temp at all?

    I stopped temping two cycles ago because my doctor told me to. It's been one less thing for me to stress about... until today.  Smile

    Honestly, I think we'll just have sex again tonight and see what happens. There's not much more we can do at this point, and this is our "Hail Mary" IUI to begin with. Starting next cycle (if there is one - *hope not*), we'll be just using OPKs and TI again until we're ready for IVF, so maybe this is how I get used to the "winging it" concept.

    Never a dull moment!

    Well maybe you O'd already and your body is just psyching you out, wont be the first or last time it happens to us..the joys of being a lady!!

    Just keep on humpin' if you've got the energy.

    I always did my IUI's on CD11 and wondered if it was too early. Unfortunately, I get such bad O cramps and bloating with my trigger that BD is almost impossible for 2-3 days.

    Started TTC 2/2009
    Started fertility treatments 11/2010
    Ovarian dysfunction, LPD, male factor
    6 failed medicated IUI's
    Pregnant 5/2011 - Miscarriage at 6 weeks due to triploidy
    Decided to adopt - 6/2012
    SURPRISE! Pregnant without intervention - 7/2012 
    Sweet Baby James Born 3/2013
    Decided to be "One and Done"

    ....OR NOT.
    Pregnant 12/2018 despite birth control pills
    Here we go again...
    Due 8/26/19!

    At my IUI last week, my RE told me that if you have a mature follie(s), and you take a trigger shot, you will ovulate. Hopefully, you already ovulated and your ovaries are just being ornery. If for some reason you are ovulating now, it sounds like you're covered! Good luck!

    It is possible, but not likely. I think maybe you are experiencing other feeling like ppl said. I took a trigger shot with sall medicated cycles. On IUI 2 my progesterone 2 was only 3 so I am pretty positive I didn't O, or if I had a weak O.

    I had what felt like "O" pains for several days after both my IUIs so there is a chance that you're just cramping from the IUI suddenly.  Try to trust the docs that they timed it correctly.  But sex tonight's not gonna harm anything.

    TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD. 
    IUI#1&2&3 (2011 & 2012) BFN
    IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)
    IUI#5 BFN (April 2013)
