Voted 5 months straight to fruits and veggies but will wait until the flip side of 5 months closer to 6.  I did the same with DD and it went really well.

My pedi said I could start giving my LO cereal once a day - I tried oatmeal on Friday & she really didn't know what to do.  She hasn't been showing any interest in food at all, so I am going to wait a few more weeks & try the oatmeal again.

Our pedi told us to hold off on the food until 6 months, because he is so huge.  She would like him to stay on the formula for the calories right now.  That's what I was planning on anyway.  He was 18lb 14oz at his 4 month well baby visit.

I voted 4 months cereal.  DD was 4 months and 2 weeks old but we only did brown rice cereal for 4 days then went to avocado.  Our pedi said we can give her any purees every 4 days.  I looked into BLW, but it wasn't for me.  DD is doing great with the purees.  Loved avocado and zucchini.  I just started her with sweet potatoes today and she liked them as well.  I am making her baby food and it is really easy!

We are starting cereal around 5.5ish months.  I talked to my pedi about skipping cereal but she advised against it just because rise cereal is the easiest to digust besides breast milk.  She said it will help get her ready to eat "solids" and ease her belly into it.

    I voted SS.

We started solids (sweet potatoes and home made oat meal cereal) at 4ms.   She wasn't digesting the sweet potatoes so we stopped that first week.  We just figured we would wait.

We read about BLW and though we question some of it we feel we will go this direction at 6m.  We feel we will do what we are comfortable with and then go from there.

SS- I'm not 100% certain. I know it won't be this month. I'm thinking closer to 6 months. Planning to skip rice cereal and thinking about doing a combo of home made purees along with some BLW.

This is us. I'm hoping to get as close to 6 months as possible.

I'm not planning on starting solids until after Edmund's lip repair surgery. I will talk to his pediatrician at his 4 month appointment and make sure that he is okay with us doing that. He is gaining weight really well on the formula and I don't see the need to start when all he likes to do with his tongue is shove it into his nasal passage.

I voted SS.  LO was a month early, so pedi advised us to wait until 7 months.  I am leaning towards BLW, or some variation thereof.

I'm planning on waiting until DD is 6 months and then start with veggies - that is what my midwife and pedit. recommended.

Also DD doesn't seem too interested in food yet and still pushes unwanted items out of her mouth with her tongue. However, I am flexible - if I notice she wants to try solids at 5 months, then I'll give it a go.
