  I'm not a single mom (I was a single mom forever and ever so I feel like I fit in here. lol) but my ds's dad is ordered to pay....get this.....$50 a month. That is my state's minimum. He was ordered to pay $100 a week and he managed to get himself over $21,000 in arrears so since he couldn't pay that, they reduced it to the state minimum. Which he doesn't pay, and yes, I am absolutely astounded that he's not in jail, but I digress.

  Maybe I am old school, but since when did you go around asking for exact dollar amounts someone receives?  That is a personal question and some may not feel comfortable disclosing that.

  It might not be that cheap depending on what the two of you make and what the formula is in your state.
