I've been varying my routine since I got PG. I recently ran into a woman who teaches belly dancing and she's trying to recruit me. Anyone tried it before? Just trying to get an idea of what type of workout it is...
Mind you, I'm very much a brick (o.k. o.k. meathead powerlifter) and not a balarina and even I had fun in the class.. I was at the gym when they were testing out a new instructor and did a single class on a dare and it's something fun yet it's one of the few classes in the gym that there is practical application if you catch my drift LOL...
Go give the class a try and see if it's for you! I was definitely the "slowest" one to pick things up in the class and even I had fun with it...
I belly dance and I love it. I loved doing it when I was pregnant, as well.
It's decent cardio and really good for your pelvic floor/hips/thighs/butt/abs/ect. Basically, full body. My arms are the most toned when I'm dancing regularly:)
