Our pedi (who is a preemie mom herself) is pushing pretty hard for solids and has been bringing them up since DD was 4 months actual age. We had planned on waiting until 6 months, possibly even 6 months adjusted age. Right now she has great head control and is interested in watching us eat but hasn't reached for food or otherwise shown interest in food.
What approach did you take and was your pedi on board? I know it's up to us ultimately and I just don't feel like she is ready.
Re: Talk to me about solids
This is what we are planning on doing too (including baby-led). Add this to the list of hippie crunchy things I do. LOL!
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)

Our pedi left it up to us. But the feeding specialist we see (who is also a premie mom) suggested waiting until at least 6 months. But I didn't feel that my boys were ready even at 6 months so we waited until 7.5 months (5.5 months adjusted).
They are NO worse for having waited. They are big healthy guys that are wonderful eaters.
GL whatever you choose!
