Best Department Store for Baby Clothes?

Ladies,

I was wondering about your opinions on shopping for baby clothes at department stores (Belk, Macy's, Dillard's). My little girl is due Sept. 29th and most of the clothes I got at my shower are for next summer. I only have a few things in newborn and 0-3 mos. sizes. I'm not a very girly girl and tend to stay clear of butterflies, hearts and flowers. I'm attracted to geometric patterns mostly or more gender neutral clothing. There is a mall close to my house and I thinking about stopping by on my way home. Have any of you had luck at department stores?

Thank you!

  • I like the J. Khaki line at Belk (though they might not fit your non-girly criteria), and JC Penney has a cute inexpensive line as well. I haven't had a lot of luck with Macy's, and can't remember the last time I've stepped foot in Dillards. :-) I tend to buy most of DD's stuff at Kohl's, Target, or Carters (and consignment sales.. but that doesn't help you much, huh?) GL!

  • My in-laws got most of the girls baby clothes at Macy's (I find their toddler selection to be pretty ugly though).  I also get most of the girls clothes from Kohl's, Target, and Carters, plus Old Navy and Baby Gap.
