LO sleeps propped up in his boppy.. We tried to do everything by the book, but after 3 weeks desperation kicked in when mommy really had to sleep. Things have been great since then!

DD sleeps in her swing a lot, but since she'll still sleep in her RnP at night, I don't worry about it. When we first came home, it was the only place she would sleep!
My LO naps on her boppy a good share of the day. She sleeps with a blanket on her legs quite often as well.
The dishwasher is enough sterilization for me.
I don't read baby books and don't subscribe to anyone method of parenting. I graduated from the school of "Hey if it works and we're all healthy, happy and sane so be it."
My LO spends a few hours a day in a cow barn with me (OMG the germs!). Momma's got work to do and loves to be outside before she goes insane trapped in the house.
When I need to mow the lawn I wait until she goes down for a nap and park her in the bouncer in front of the patio door. I check on her on the driveby. (I live way out in the sticks. Like WAY out in the sticks..so I don't consider it a big deal at all).
I never get too worked up about who is holding my LO (unless they're obviously sick) and it doesn't usually matter to me if they' bathed in hand sanitizer first or not.
The kid goes where I go in terms of out and about. Again Momma's got stuff to do!
I don't own a monitor. It'd make me crazy I think. I can hear her fine enough as is.
That's all I got. I think I'm a pretty good mom and normal as far as real life parenting goes but by Bump standards I fail miserably!
I don't own a monitor. It'd make me crazy I think. I can hear her fine enough as is.
Gabe sleeps in our room now (because he is off his heart monitor and I am a paranoid freak), but when he was in his room on his heart monitor we had to turn off his sound monitor. His grunting made me lose my mind. I didn't sleep and had panic attack dreams that he was in our bed (which btw was impossible) and getting smothered.

Glad to hear others do exactly as I do or don't do lol.
I don't sterilize bottles/pump parts/nipple shield. In this day and age is soap and water is clean enough.
At night I let him have a blanket around his feet. He sleeps in his swing a lot.
I agree with whoever said do whatever works. The ones who make the rules aren't the ones who have to deal with the screaming baby.
I'm sure I have others.
O I'm not neurotic this time around about who holds him.
When DS1 was born I didnt want him going to the nursery so I could sleep at night. I didn't want him having formula either. This time around I wasn't so anal I let him go to the nursery so I could get some rest and let them give him formula while in the nursery. Since we've been home he's never had formula though.
There's got to be more.

I unintentionally co-sleep! I am so tired taking care of 3 kids all day that I cannot keep my eyes open during nighttime nursing sessions. As soon as DD is latched, I promptly pass out and wake up to find her on the boppy sleeping peacefully in my lap. We have her PNP next to the bed and she always starts there, but never makes it back in there until the morning unless DH wakes up and moves her! Oops!
I don't change diapers at night anymore - they are just pee, don't leak, and A&D ointment before bed is a great diaper rash preventative for tired (lazy?) moms such as myself.
Overall, I am pretty much by the books and do my best to keep everyone safe and happy but I fail in the aforementioned areas.

I don't change diapers at night anymore. I left DD in her crib this morning for an extra hour so I could sleep. Luckily she just lays there and grunts and talks to herself. If she falls asleep on my bed I leave her there. I let the dog lick her face. I don't do up straps in her swing or bassinet part of her stroller. I'm mom of the year! Haha!

DH lets DS sleep on his tummy (supervised) for naps. At first it really freaked me out and I stared at him for hours thinking something would go wrong.
But after talking to his Grandma (who had 4 kids) his mom (6 kids) and my mom (2 kids) who all slept on their tummies ALL THE TIME. The supervised napping on tummy really doesn't bother me now. And he looks so comfy.....
He is on his back when we go to sleep at night though.
Well, I didn't realize until this thread that you're not supposed to put blanket on LO at night! I do every night around waist/legs.
Let see I let LO sleep on my chest-only way she will sleep sometime. If i put her down anywhere she wakes up and cries. But if she falls asleep on DH he can put her in bassinet no problem, so it's mostly after night time feedings and in the morning when I need a little more sleep.
I let her sleep in Boppy, and on my bed if she's out.
I don't strap her into swing/bouncer... she's too little still.
I cave in and let her nurse even though I know she can't be hungry because she is not a fan of the pacifier.
Just soap and water on pump/bottle-boiling once in a while. It's too much to do it everytime.
I find it hard to talk to LO all day, I'm a very quiet person, and feel guilty for not being more talkative with her. I think thats it. lol
I also just use soap and water on pump parts and bottles (after first time sterilization)
Speaking of bottles, we waited until 6 weeks to try a bottle with her because I didn't want to think about going back to work and love BF her. Now she absolutely refuses to take a bottle from me and I secretly love it. She wasn't a huge fan with DH but eventually drank a little from it. This shouldn't be a good thing, but after having latching issues at the very beginning, I'm secretly thrilled that all she wants is my boob. Probably need to work on the bottle though for when I return to work.
The past 3 nights, I've woken up with DD asleep on my chest after a middle of the night feeding (she sleeps in co-sleeper or rock n play next to our bed). Prior to that, I've been good about being alert and putting her down after she ate. It scares me, but she loves snuggling on my chest after BF and she always keeps her head to the side and doesn't move.
This isn't the kind of confession that this post if looking for her, but I totally hog DD and want her all to myself (with the exclusion of DH). I do of course let others hold her (her grandparents, aunts, etc), but I really just want her all to ourselves for now and I struggle when people visit. I feel like they know it because I stare at them the whole time they're holding her. She's been "passed around" a lot, so I'm not really paranoid about people holding her at all, I just don't like it because I can't get enough of her.
I have recently discovered that BM gets caked up in the folds of her neck after eating. I found some really old BM in a neck fold last week and it was red and inflamed around it. I bathe her often, but that girl has some crazy rolls! Even now that I'm conscious of the problem, I just found some more BM in there this morning and it's all red and uncomfortable looking around it. And I have to forcefully move her head to even attempt to clean it.
The "worst" thing i have done that was so against every bone in my body BEFORE motherhood is...oh lord, I can't belive I'm admitting it... for the last two evenings, when LO got fussy but I know he has eaten enough I have put him in his RNP a few feet away from the TV as we watch LOST on Netflix and he is quietly mesmerized which is a nice little break before the night feeding marathons....
I let LO nap on his belly all the time but he is always in eye sight of me.

We have never sterilized bottles with my first or this child, we have always washed in very very hot water and soap. Both of my children have slept on our chests (my first this is the only place she would take naps). I hold my baby as much as possible. My 3 year old comes and sleeps in our bed in the middle of the night (I know this isn't related to newborns, but I was confessing).
I let DS tummy sleep. Its the only way he will sleep he has great head control and Ive watched him he turns his head often. I was a tummy sleeper too in a house with parents who smoked, put stuffed animals in my bed used heavy blankets with bumpers and Im still alive. I figure if tummy sleeping is the only problem then he should be okay.
DS wakes up every day at 5 am and wont go back down in his crib so he comes back and sleeps with us in our bed so I can get the extra 4 hours of sleep since once we bring him back he wakes up around 9- 9:30
I also let him sit with my 100 pound lab, Im never more than a foot away from then when I do it but DS love leaning on the dogs stomach and is actually doing pretty well sitting up because of it. The dog loves it because he gets to snuggle with HIS baby.

I don't sterilize bottles or my pump parts, I use hot soapy water and rinse in really hot water.
He sleeps in his nap nanny every night. He has napped on me, in his swing and crib (and with a blanket to boot!)
His crib still has the bumper pads, which I plan on removing once we actually use the crib or he starts rolling.
I've let him sleep in bed with me, sometimes he sleeps better and more quietly (he is such a noisy sleeper)
I don't like sharing Mason with anyone, I get really anxious for some reason. I don't make people bathe in sanitizer either. Germs aren't all bad
I let him eat formula that's been out for more than hour, that stuff is expensive and I'm not wasting it (same with pumped breast milk, I work hard for that)
I'm sure there is more that I do that I shouldn't but we have a happy, healthy baby and a sane mommy and daddy. Whatever we are doing or not doing is working for us.
LO sleeps propped up in his boppy.. We tried to do everything by the book, but after 3 weeks desperation kicked in when mommy really had to sleep. Things have been great since then!
We did this also. I then realized its just her belly she likes so I felt more comfortable putting her on her belly all the time then using the boppy. I figured the boppy would become a problem once she started moving, and a greater risk of suffication. She has slept on her belly since and we all get great sleep now.
I let her sleep on her side she loves it and stays put the whole time. I let her nap on my bed although I'm always awake when she does this. I also let her nap on my chest and my husband's chest. When she is crying and we don't know why we have a trick that we use to put a bit of gas drops on her paci and she calms down. I'm not sure if its the sweetness of the gas drops or the combination of the pacifier and the taste of the gas drops, either way it works most of the time. I'm sure there's more I'm missing

Sterilizing bottles and binkies is very very hot water and soap.

I am not anal about hand sanitizer, but you can't be sick and hold my baby.
I put a blanket around his feet at night because we're having AC problems so the windows stay open and it can get cool in here at night.
I have let LO CIO for a bit a few times (LO always wants to be held), only because having a 6 yo on top of LO who has aspergers syndrome is hard and I just don't have 6 hands to do everything and until I can convince MH I need a baby wrap, thats all I can do.
I am lazy about the breast pump. I wash it out with REALLY hot water, but I don't soap it up everytime, I just don't have time.
I am sure there are more...but I am super tired and can't think of any.
