Parenting after a Loss

My 21 month old ate desitin last night!

Not sure how much she ate- but she has had diarrhea ever since. Otherwise, she seems fine. No fever- and she is eating and drinking. What should I do?

  • The Poisindex database Poison Control uses considers it a non-toxic ingestion, says it can cause nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea primarily due to the zinc, recs supportive care like hydration if lots of vomiting or diarrhea at home.

  • I have to laugh at this because dd1 did this on dh's watch. I came home and found her in her room covered in desitin. He called poison control and the lady said it's so common!! Sounds normal from what the poison control lady said.
