I was making this for chicken:
Teriyaki Grilled Chicken, from Taste of Home Grill It! by Readers Digest
1 Cup Tamari (dark soy sauce) [1/3 C]
1 Cup Regular Soy (low sodium if you can) [1/3 C]
1.5 Cups Oil [1/2 C]
1 Cup + 1 Tbs Honey [1/3 C + 1 tsp]
3/4 C White wine or Chicken Broth [1/4 C]
9 scallions finely sliced [3]
9 cloves of garlic, grated or smashed [3]
4 Tbs ginger, grated or finely sliced [1 1/2]
6 Chicken Breasts [2]
Mix in gallon sized ziploc bag, add chicken, marinate for 24 hours. The original recipe is in brackets to the right, and they suggest using that amount fo 6 - 8 breasts which is just laughable. It was enough to touch everything, but not cover it. I triple the recipe and it works out very well.
I also made steak marinade:
(I got it from my mom)
1 part oil
1 part soy
1 part citrus juice - lemon, lime, or pineapple (pineapple is the best!!)
2 - 4 Bay leaves
Steak
Dump it in a container and marinate for 24 - 36 hours, but as little as 4 - 6 hours works in a pinch.
FYI, don't dump it on the floor. It is a Biitch to clean up.
Re: S/o Marinades
Those sound freaking amazing. My favorite is my sea-food marinade (its also good on chicken)
1/3 C Soy Sauce
1/3 C Cooking Sherry
1/3 C Seasame Oil
Ground Ginger
Garlic
It's bomb.
Same haha Weber has an awesome Chipotle one
