Poop!

I never thought I would post about this or be SO excited but last night Lexi said I poop. So I thought I needed to change her diaper. I looked and no poop.

 Me: do you need to poop?

Lexi: yes

Me: Do you want to go on the potty?

Lexi: ::runs to the bathroom::

and she pooped!!

 She kept running around afterwards and saying "I pooped!!" She was so excited.

Have any tips potty training? Do I just keep asking her all the time? Should I get a book?

    Yes, keep asking her. Also, I would recommend changing her diaper in the bathroom so that she starts to associate the bathroom with those functions (which she obviously kind of has) While you are changing her diaper (change her standing up, I'm definitely NOT telling you to lay her on the bathroom floor) put her on the toilet to see if she has to go. You will start to notice times when she really does need to go more frequently (after wake up, x amount of time after drinking, x amount of time after meals etc.)

    Oh my gosh! I would be super excited too!  Way to go Lexi!

    I just did the 3 day potty training method with DD about a month ago and she is very well potty trained now at home.  Still working on the public bathroom thing but I would say go for it.  Read up on some different methods and decide what is right for you.  There is a hidden potty training board under the Toddler 24 month + board too for you to check out.
