Let me start by saying: I am not bothered by people touching my belly.  Up until this point, PLENTY of people that I KNOW have put their hands on my belly.  I work in a hospital so the nurses feel free all the time.  I'm one of the only girls that doesn't have a baby, so now it feels like I'm part of some club. Party!!!

However, I just had the weirdest experience.  I work as a PA - so I was standing in a room with a patient and his girlfriend, talking to him about his injured shoulder.  In the middle of my sentence, his girlfriend walks up and places her hand on my belly...."just ignore me, I just want to feel him kick."  She kept her hand there for AT LEAST 5 straight minutes! Literally expecting me to continue with my exam and conversation with her bf while she's standing there with her hand on my belly.  WHAT?/!!?!  Idea

I didn't have the heart to say anything...it didn't really bother me, per say, but it was just really WEIRD!  She then went on to talk about how she has 5 boys of her own...yadda yadda...

 Anyone else having weird things like this happen? lol

    WOW, just wow.

    I really didn't have problems with people touching my belly either.  Until this pregnancy, my problem is my belly hasn't really hardened yet, & I still had quite a bit of weight from last one, so when I wear maternity shirts and I look really pregnant, people want to feel on my belly and I'm super subconcience of my weight on top of the baby bubble. Most times I just grab something close by and turn around like I have something to do or put somewhere.

    You are a much better person than me! I can't deal with people touching my belly! It actually took me a while to get used to my husband and sister touching me, but that is about as far as I can go. In the beginning people tried to touch and I would literally jump back and shriek, I can't help it!

    That would of been really wierd.  I also work in hospital as a x-ray tech, and I am surprised by how many men talk about the baby and how little the women do. I think women are more afraid that it's just fat and not baby.

    i was overweight before i was pregnant so even though im six months now its not obvious that im pregnant. i really wish i had a baby bump to show off. i think i would enjoy the attention but never would let a stranger touch me. plus im really ticklish

    I never really mind when people ask to touch my bump, but normally it's people I work with, or regulars who come into my job. I was at the grocery store yesterday and one of the employees (a young girl around my age) said "Oh my goodness, I can't help myself!" and promptly started feeling my tummy. She gushed and talked about how wonderful babies are for about 2 straight minutes. It's not that I minded, per se, it was just super weird to have a total stranger do it without even asking.
