Hi. I'm currently still in my first trimester but thought I'd post here an see what responses I'd get. I'm desperate!! I am 11 weeks and nothing has been working for my nausea and vomiting. Well zofran had been working up until yesterday . Just want to know how long you had m/s for?
Re: How long has m/s lasted for you?
I was one of the "lucky" 2% who had hyperemesis (severe nausea & vomiting). Zofran did NOTHING for me. I was nauseous 24/7 and threw-up daily until 16 weeks when the nausea suddenly stopped (unless I don't eat regularly). I only throw-up when I first wake up in the morning, but everything is much more manageable now.
I remember that around 11 weeks my m/s actually got a lot worse.
Brayden (5 1/2) born 12.28.06
Hailey (4 1/2) born 2.25.08
Taylor (8 Months) born 12.26.11
I last threw up during my 20th week.
Just regular plain "morning sickness" - not hyperemesis.
I was prescribed Phenergan (it didn't work), but never the Zofran.
Everyone is different...
As in, just because it lasted "forever" for some of us, doesn't mean it won't be over tomorrow for you.
(Mine also got worse at 11 weeks... as a previous poster said.)
Me too lol. I still get sick and am still on medication :-/ I was in and out of the hospital the whole entire first tri-mester, had week 14 where i didnt get sick at all and thought it was going away, but it came back :-/ And I'm with the above who it's just more manageable now. I don't know if it's because I'm used to it or just figured out what slight triggers are. If i dont eat something within being awake for 5 minutes it's guranteed that my day is going to be sucky lol. Just make sure your not getting dehydrated, I hated having to go in and out of the hospital and doctors and being jabbed all the time but water made me sick :-/
I am over 14 weeks now and I am still suffering from it. Sorry. I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear. I can't seem to stomach much of anything. I try to for the sake of my LO and to appease my FH but I just can't do it. I talked with a lady who was (at the time) 20 weeks and she said hers lasted till 16 weeks. I know it's rare but some women have it all 40 weeks, again, I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
Hope you feel better soon.

Breastfeeding and pregnant!
My m/s was the worst from weeks 8-12. Since then I have maybe thrown up 3 times (once was actually b/c I was laughing so hard, so I don't know if that really counts).
Hopefully relief is just around the corner for you!

This for me! At almost 25 wks, I still need zofran in the mornings. I am so used to it now, and it is not nearly as bad as 1st tri., hang in there!!
I had very light MS in first trimester, with one really horrible week where it wouldn't quit - for that week, I just made sure I always had saltines or access to carbonated water, that seemed to settle my stomach.
Also,
This is exactly how I was feeling at 11 weeks. My doctor even sympathized with me, I would just go there completely green and weak and with bags under my eyes! He told me I could take Drammamine but I suffered through it. I am 16 weeks now, and at around 14 weeks it started to subside dramatically, I was still throwing up and nauseous at 13 and a half weeks and I started to panic. But now I will get nauseous maybe in the afternoon ONE day a week, but nothing at all like it was those first 13 weeks. Hang in there! I promise it will get better! When you are 4 months, you'll see a huge difference. I know I did!
