So this weekend was my SIL's wedding, and DH and I went down to stay with his parents and help out with the whole process. Long story short it was a long exhausting weekend. When we returned home DH got a call from his best friend and then informed me that a few friends were coming over>>I was not pleased, but I put on my game face and made dinner and spruced up the house a bit and awaited their arrival. Shortly after they arrived we ate dinner...really simple calzones while watching a movie, and I choked. I choked on a piece of my dinner and my wonderful gag reflex kicked in. I coughed and gagged and ran to the bathroom where I proceeded to be sick for about 10 minutes. Mind you our house is about the size of a two bedroom apartment and was built in the 1900's so you can imagine the sound effects coming from the restroom for his friends to hear. After I stopped getting sick DH comes in to check on me because I haven't come out yet. As he steps into the restroom he is holding back a laugh because he walks in to me..standing in the bathroom, hair a mess, face red, tears streaming down my face..and I had wet my pants while being sick. The embarassing part is that the living room is what separates our bathroom from the bedroom so I had no way of walking out to get a change of pants without exposing what I had done. I haven't wet my pants since I was under 2 years old, but the whole pregnancy thing has made my control less than stellar. I had to get DH to go into our room, find me another pair of pants and underwear, and somehow bring them to me without further drawing attention. DH did that and gave me a big hug and we moved on with our evening....but I have to say that's the most embarassing pregnancy story I have so far..thought you'd enjoy..lol
Re: incredibly embarassing story..should get a giggle though...
Awww that is terrible! That would be really embarrassing. I have wet my pants a few times while throwing up from m/s, but mercifully I was home and did not have guests!
I'm glad you can laugh about it now, but I know it was miserable at the time. Good thing DH ran interference
lol me too! Thank god for pantiliners, huh? I saw a girl post on here a month or so ago about the sneeze/pee phenomenon and she referred to it as "I sneed!" Now I think that every time I do it and it actually sounds just little bit cuter. lol
Aww, that is terrible! At least you will have a story to look back on and have a little laugh, even if it was awful at the time ;-)
If it makes you feel any better, when I was pregnant with DD I had a super embarrassing moment in public. My friend and I had taken the day off of work because they were doing a Extreme Makeover Home Edition in my town and we wanted to go see it and cheer for the family when they came home. I had been feeling really sick all morning, but I told myself I wasn't going to miss this for anything, so I took some crackers and water with me and hoped my nausea would settle. It did for a while, but later in the day it suddenly cam back, and I needed somewhere to go, fast! They had two yucky portable bathrooms, but I was desperate so I ran over to them. They were full. I looked around (freaking out at this point) and there was nowhere to go and people were EVERYWHERE. I barely made it into a small patch of woods (not thick or anything, you could clearly see me there) in the neighbor's yard (across the street from the house they were building) and threw up everywhere. I don't think many people saw, but the worst part was that I had to go ask a random guy with a stroller if I could have a baby wipe because I had gotten sick and needed to wipe my mouth. It was awful. Oh yeah, and I wasn't far enough along to really look pregnant, so I'm sure the guy thought I was crazy.
