My job is soul-numbing.
That?s all. I?m hating life right now. Well, not my life, just the job. I?m done with it. I?m SO done with it. Sadly, there?s nothing out there.
PS: Venting here because it's my only outlet. Can't talk to coworkers because people have big mouhts and can?t email friends because they track it.
I?m skulking away to my own little corner cubicle in hell now, for a pity party of 1. Wah. And people wonder why I drink so much.

Hey, It's almost December. I always feel this way until December, although this year may not be a good December anyway.

XBG: Yes, lunch is good. Lunch + a cocktail or 3 = BETTER.
I?m an editor/reporter. I love what I do, and I?m very good at it. But they made a bunch of managerial changes and it?s sucking the life out of this place. Not impacting my position directly, but they decided to reorganize my group so we got a new editor in chief. The man is on a power trip. He has 50 million new initiatives, and is delegating all of them, and only about 20% of them make sense.
It's like seeing the out-of-control train coming, but no one at the platform is listening to you when you tell them to get out of the way or get run over. And then who has to pick up the pieces?
And god forbid you try to reason with him. For god?s sake, the man fired someone who was bedridden with a broken neck instead of waiting a couple of weeks for him to get out of the hospital.
They changed our hours, added an extra hour to the work day, with no change in pay.
And I?m working on a horrible, horrible project right now that requires me to work with people in the federal government. The person I?m dealing with is their ?communications specialist.? I?m pretty sure he rode the short bus to school. Seriously.
