Can a child molester change? Can they be rehabilitated?

    I am all about second chances, people make mistakes, but not for things like this. Maybe they can change but I would NEVER want to risk it.

    If it's an 18 year old having sex with his/her partner then yes, but in any other case I would say no.

    When it comes to Sex Offenders (rapists and child molesters) I truly believe that they are wired wrong and have no hope for rehabilitation.

    I don't think they can be rehabilitated. Like PP said, they are wired wrong. Something upstairs isn't right. And I'm not talking statutory, like a 16 year old dating a 19 year old. I'm talking about people that hurt children. And even if they could be, who would wanna risk it?

    I chose SS. I'd like to believe that they can be rehabilitated, and on the surface, maybe I do. Would I feel comfortable leaving LO with a "rehabilitated child molester"? Absolutely not. So, maybe I don't think they can be rehabilitated. That is such a hard question, Jcole!
