So I have been taking zofran, not around the clock but only when I feel very nauseous . I take it today and it isn't working!!! What happened?! Has this happened to anyone?! This was my only savior. I'm so depressed right now...
I'm not taking any meds for nausea, but a few things help me...
Eating like they say every 2-3 hrs, flavored drinks, sipping slowly, and carbs (tortilla chips, dry cereal, bread). My OB gave me a sample of a "bnatal" lollipop & said I can take the package of it to any pharmacy and they can special order them for me, which I did - you can choose from lollipops or losenges (which are more discreet since we're not telling everyone yet). They have vitamin b6 in them, and are really helpful! My seabands have also been very helpful! (Look for them at any drug store by nausea meds).
I also read online that taking b6 in general is helpful to ease the nausea, they've done studies. Just make sure that you don't take more than the max per day, 75-100 mg I think. The bnatals have 25 each, and my prenatal has 15 mg, and I started taking a b6 that I cut in half so its a smaller dosage. Good luck! I sure am looking forward to this part of pregnancy misery to be over, it gets old!! ha. https://www.bnatal.com/https://www.sea-band.com/seaband.htm

Mine made me feel like a normal person the first few days. I only took it when I needed it... so I could tell when it kicked in. My ob said to take it around the clock every 6-8 hours regardless of if I "needed" it. So now I do that. Shouldn't have listened. I don't throw up, but I do get queasy and nauseous quite a bit. I've heard it stops working after a while... I don't know. I was bummed too. GL!
Zofran really only takes away vomiting for me. I am still nauseous, and at times very nauseous. Then again, I am not able to go more than 4 hours without taking it unless I am sleeping.
What time did you take it?
I do believe that there are some women on here for whom it stopped working. If you continue to have severe nausea or vomiting, I would call your OB.
ETA: What is your prescribed dosage and instructions?
My ob ordered it 4mg every 4-6 hrs as needed. I was throwing up maybe 3-4 times a day but I had so much nausea I wasn't eating or drinking anything ( which I know makes it worse but I couldn't help it). So I started taking it to get hydrated and be able to eat something. But how I don't feel comfortable taking meds I was only taking it when it would get really bad. But now...I don't know what to do. ?

Have you tried taking it every 4 hours to see if it will keep the vomiting at bay? If not taking it means that you barely eat or drink, then for me it is a no brainer. You have to eat and drink or you will end up in the hospital on IV fluids.
Are you throwing up while you are on it or just nauseous?
Honestly, it will not take away your nausea 100%. It hasn't for me. I
take it as a win that I am not throwing up every 90 mins to 2 hours.
If you really don't know what to do, call your OB or the advice nurse line. I cannot really help you beyond telling you what I am doing.
I feel the same way. It worked wonders for me for the first week or so but has not really worked since. I actually was at my RE on Tuesday and they tested my urine because I had lost over 15 lbs already and it had keytones in it so I was admitted to the hospital for iv fluids and meds for 3 days. No fun at all.
The doctors are now talking about putting a pic line in and give me home infusion therapy if I continue to throw up. I really hope it does not come to that.
Good luck and I agree with other pp call your doctor if you continue to get sick, I thought I was fine and it was just part of the 1st Tri.
