Challenge check in/AW!

Well, I definitely bit off more then I can chew with setting my challenge at refinishing 5 pieces of furniture. I just didn't pay attention to what my week was going to be like, and DH didn't get home from work until after 7 every night, making it difficult for me to get kid free time.

Gah - look at my excuses!

I did get the dresser sanded! And, next Friday Easter Seals is doing a pick up in our neighborhood, so onto the next challenge!

I did at least pick up my knitting. I am still hoping to get the knitting all done by Sunday. Then I still need buttons.

I learned how to properly thread my sewing machine! Apparently I was doing it wrong causing the thread to get loose or snap every few minures. I did get to finish sewing a row of blocks and started on another, but now my bobbin is having issues so I need to figure that out.

I did unbox and get to know my sewing machine and did my little project. It's crooked and ugly as sin, but no one will see it and it's functional!

I got my closet cleaned out, but it still looks kind of messy. I took before pictures, but they got ruined somehow. Anyway, here are the afters (I had issues with light).

My challenge was to finish backing up all of our digital pictures so I can start making albums. But with DD sick all week, I didn't get finished. Maybe by next week! My new goal is to make a wedding album for DH for our anniversary. Yes, it's been almost seven years and still no album. I just paid to have our negatives scanned and am all set to get started! My goal for next week is to select the photos for the album and get them uploaded on snapfish. It sounds like lots of people made progress this week, even if the didn't finish!

I have no excuse, besides laziness. I didn't get anything hung on the walls of our family room.... maybe next week.

Am I too late?

Well, the vegan Chai tea cupcakes were a hit. Thaks to Vegan Cupcakes Take over the World! I finished the birds for my mobile, I just have to assemble it. I am headed to my mom's today, so I'm going to make her help me. As far as squeezing in a diaper, well, I think that was a bit much to ask. I will post pics of the mobile later once it's all assembled.
