Anyone else's stomach muscles feel like they're just going to split open above the belly button to the sternum? I'm only 34 weeks, but LO is measuring 3 weeks ahead both by fundal height and ultrasound, and my stomach muscles feel like they're stretched as far as they can get. I feel like I'm going to "split at the seam" right down the middle of my upper abdomen.
So there's this boy. He kinda stole my heart. He calls me "Mom"

Re: Stomach muscle pain...
There is a great book for preventing and treating diastasis recti (which is when the tendons between your rectus abdominus, or the muscles that make up the six pack, get overly strained and separate). It's called Maternal Fitness by a woman named Judy Tupler.
It's not that uncommon, but if you do have diastasis recti, you'll want to try to deal with it as soon as possible (esp. if you want to regain your regular pre-pregnancy stomach).
It may help to give yourself a stomach split when you're just hanging around - take a big thin cloth or towel, wrap it around your back and criss-cross it over your middle. Pull it tight when you are getting in and out of bed or getting up from sitting.
