Does anybody still occassionally eat this? I am craving this antipasta that I LOVE just wondering if having once in awhile is really going to do harm...

I'm Greek so understandably we always have feta in our fridge! LOL I ate feta during my pregnancy, not every day or anything but did not have any issues. eat in moderation....and just a tip, the Vigo feta is the best on the market, closest to the real deal (not the Athenos or store brand).

Yum, my husband makes a good Feta and tomoato omlette and I'm going to tell him to look for Vigo!! Thx

It comes in a blue/white plastic container and the feta is in brine water. Costco also sells it (most carry it) in a larger quantity, better value but not in brine. You can just add milk and water and put it in there to last longer.
If I could not eat feta I may die! Feta and fresh spinach calzones, feta and cucumber and tomato sandwiches are eaten often here. Think I need to have some for lunch now!
Due to this post, I must now go eat some salad with feta on it. Thanks a lot! ;-)
Yes, I'm craving feta. I am now rethinking my spaghetti leftover for lunch and might head over to the Greek restaurant for a salad with feta and some hummus...yummmm
I've been eating prepackaged feta that is guaranteed pasteurized. but I have avoided the fresh bulgarian feta I usually buy (just sold from a giant metal pan in a market). I would say if you go to a restaurant, just ask if it's prepackaged feta if you want to be extra careful. but it probably depends on where you live and the kind of restaurant it is. . . .
Yup, definitely have had some Feta, mm mm good. If I'm out to eat, I ask them if the feta is pasteurized (which is almost always is). If they can't guarentee it, even though I'm sure it is, I just skip it. Pretty much any feta you buy in a grocery store will be pasteurized too. Yummo!
Re: Feta Cheese
You can eat any cheese as long as it's pasteurized whcih I know at least some feta is.
Linkity.
