Injection site rash?

Ummm...5 days into stimming and I just noticed small itchy bumps on my belly near injection sites. Should I be worried? I know this sounds terrible but Im afraid to say anything to the doctor cuz I don't want to have cancel the cycle. Thanks for any advice...

Re: Injection site rash?

  • I was injecting Follistim into my thigh, but I got small itchy bumps on my stomach above my belly button.  I went to the dermatologist and it turns out that it was hormone induced acne.  She gave me meds, but I didn't use them.  I swear it did not look like acne at all.  I don't know if that's what you have, but I would definitely mention it to your doctor.

  • What are you injecting? I know with the antagonist a skin reaction to the injection is very common and harmless, just itchy and annoying! It's still worth mentioning to the nurses, especially if it's not the antagonist that's causing the rash.

  • I had a skin reaction with ganirelix.  I'm talking big, elevated, red, itchy areas that would take a few hours to go away.  My nurse said it wasn't a big deal.  She suggested trying a different injection site.

    Good luck with your cycle!

I had the same thing with Ganirelix. It was worst for the first few injections and then calmed down a bit. There were nights I wanted to scratch my stomach open!
