I made them. I made the invite and then saved it as a jpeg and just went to one of those photo print kiosks and printed them out. Sorry, don't have the pic on this computer. They weren't too fancy. Some pics of DD, a snowgirl and some snowflake clipart and the info. We had a winter ONEderland theme, Since DD's B-day was in January I got ice blue, white, and silver decorations and party supplies after Christmas for next to nothing.
We ordered ours through TinyPrints.com and his bday theme was a WVU theme. (West Virginia University).
PPD/PPA Mom...it has been super hard, but I'm making it! Slow steps... Mom to Carter (6), and Calianne (1). Proud VBAC, natural birth, breastfeeding, cloth diapering momma!
like a pp i made my own after looking at other sites. then i had them printed at Costco (50 invites on photo paper for $15). her thank you cards i had printed via Vistaprints, but again designed my own after looking at sites that carry those goods. here's a link to my blog post if you want to see what both look like.
We are having a bumble bee theme and I ordered them from TomKat Studio on etsy. It came with the invites, banner, decorations, etc. She sent it as a PDF and I was able to print as many of everything as I needed. So easy. I just didn't have the time to make the invites so went this direction.
Re: Where did you get your first Birthday invites?
Shutterfly.
I think I am going to get them made from a shop on Etsy for DS' second birthday.

No theme.
Shutterfly. I think I had a coupon for 10 free cards, and that's all I needed.
The theme was dinosaurs. I got the decorations & plates, etc. from https://www.1stwishes.com

I got them at Etsy.com
For my first DD the theme was pink and green polka dots and for my 2nd DD the theme was butterflies.
Just do a search for children's birthday invites on esty and you wil get hundreds of options!
