First-Time-Mommy planning on Maple Grove Hospital since that's where my OB-GYN goes, heard its gorgeous and brand-new. Any thoughts or experiences anyone? Thanks in advance! :-)
I delivered DD there in Feb. 2010 and it was a great experience, aside from the 30 hours of labor.
But really, it was nice. The beds are comfy, the food is decent and I can't rave enough about having on demand movies. Seriously a lifesaver. Then once you move into the postpartum rooms, the beds feel soooooooo nice!
I just went in for a tour last night and was highly impressed! I'm very excited to have our baby boy there! It's a beautiful facility that doesnt feel so intensely like a hospital. No set visiting hours, beautiful rooms, and made-to-order food! Looking forward to our due date!
I delivered DD in Jan. 2010. I loved my experience! The food is great and everyone is super nice. I would not go anywhere else. I ended up with a csection after 14 hours of labor and I got tons of help with recovery and they weren't super overbearing either. They get answers if they don't know. I visited a coworker who had her baby in June of this year and it looks like they opened a second wing. They have had so many deliveries there since they have opened. Great hospital!!!!
We took our childbirth classes there and got the tour and we loved it! A family friend runs the cafeteria so I know the food is good too! We are looking forward to our time there this fall.
I was supposed to deliver DD there but she was too early (water broke at 33w) so I got transferred to Fairview Southdale. I was so bummed! I love the hospital. I've had a few friends deliver there and it has all been positive.
A good friend of mine just delivered her baby there two weeks ago. LOVED it. Said it was almost like staying in a hotel, aside from the three days of labor.
We had DS there in June and loved it. The staff were great, I had the same nurse all three days I was there. Much quieter and calmer than North Memorial where we had DS #1.

I am hoping I can deliver this one there!
