it says that after an hour from giving it to not give it if past an hour from when it was made. do any of you say make a bottle give it to LO and if she wants it later give him/her the leftovers if its past an hour from when you made it?
No. Once it's been sitting out for so long, it allows bacteria to develop, which to me is never worth the risk. I'd much rather just make a new bottle.

This! Wasting formula bugs the crap out of me but the risk to DS is not worth chancing IMO.
Define past a hour. My LO takes breaks, and I will not rip the bottle out of his mouth and make a new one if he is still drinking at 61 or 65 minutes. Also, our ped told us it is 100% okay to put a bottle in the fridge after LO drinks out of it as long as it wasn't heated up. Just don't let the bottle stay longer than 24 hrs.
We make a bottle with room temp tap water, then feed Lydia. If she doesn't finish the bottle before the hour is up, we'll stick it in the fridge. I do listen to the "1 hour" rule, but I also don't let the bottle sit in the fridge for more than 24 hrs. If it does sit in there that long, I toss it.

I make our formula with room temp bottled water, and unless there is a LOT left after feeding her (rare) I toss it. If she, for instance, ended up not really being hungry at all and theres tons left, I would stick it in the fridge and be comfortable with that.
Heating it annoys me more than making it though, so I just make it up as she needs it.
I do not keep the bottle past an hour. My mother in law (grrrrr) heated a bottle, fed her two ounces, put it back in the refrigerator, pulled it out, reheated it AGAIN, fed her another two ounces then put it back in the frig again. My baby had diarahea for 24 hours. Cannot begin to tell you how upset that made me.
If the house ain't burned down and the baby's fed it was a successful day.
