Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Lila is napping A LOT today!

I mean, a lot!

Here's today's schedule:

725 awake (last ate at 10pm last night, went to sleep at 11pm)

800 eat

830-920 nap (woke up when I put her in the car seat)

1100 eat

1115-125 nap

200 eat

215-now (410) nap

I'm a little concerned, mostly that she won't sleep tonight.  Does your LO have days like this?

Re: Lila is napping A LOT today!

  • Sounds like a good napping day!  DS2 naps a lot usually--one short morning nap (usually about 45min), one long nap (anywhere from 2-4 hours!), and one more shorter nap (45m-1ish hours).  He nurses for the last time before bed around 8 or 8:30pm and has been sleeping until anywhere between 5:45am and 7:45am.

Remember, sleep begets sleep.  DS2 slept the longest overnight on one of the days that he napped the most.  Good naps does not mean bad night sleep.  Good naps are more likely to mean good night sleep.

This is what I'm hoping. She's awake and chattering happily now!

  • Gabriel napped a lot today too.  He hardly napped at all yesterday, so I guess he was making up for the sleep he missed.  I'm scared of what tonight will bring.  Unlike most babies, the longer Gabe sleeps during the day, the worse his nighttime sleep is.

  • Hi!

I have a Lila also!  They aren't far apart in age either, mine was born on April 23.  she is a super sleeper!  she will wake up at 7, eat, play, go back down from 8-11, eat, play, eat again at 1-2, nap til 4-5, eat, play, eat last time at 7 pm then down for the night!  i know this is crazy!  i hear that it won't last!  but she has been sleeping like this since maybe 10 weeks!  10-12 hours at night, even with long naps during the day.
