Hey ladies. My DH and I just lost our sweet baby Lucy on 07/22 at 19 weeks. We are moving to the Wilmington area here shortly and know that for future pregnancies we will be high risk and have to see a maternal/fetal specialist instead of a regular ob. I was wondering if any of you had any recommendations for one in the Wilmington area or if it would be best to go to Wake Med in Raleigh. We are moving from the western part of the state and delivered our daughter at Missions in Asheville and we loved the high risk Drs there. Any advice or recommendations that you may have are greatly appreciated.

I am very sorry for your loss.
I saw Dr. Laura Wright, with Wilmington Maternal Fetal Medicine. She was amazing. I still saw my regular OB at Carolina OBGYN (which is now Wilmington Health Assoc. OBGYN) but I will see Dr. Wright as well. Dr. Wright does not deliver babies.
The new Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's hospital here is wonderful. I had the absolute best care there.
